Donald Trump attacked veteran Republican strategist Karl Rove on Thursday, describing the man who advised his 2020 campaign as a traitor to his party and 'a pompous fool'.
Rove. who served as George W. Bush's chief strategist, wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, criticizing Trump's CPAC performance on Sunday and calling on him not to run in 2024.
Trump hit back the next day, calling Rove a 'RINO' - Republican In Name Only.

You make it sound like Trump was born yesterday and that only recently has he made these discoveries. I knew about Rove, you knew about Rove and Trump knew about Rove. Trump doesn’t always make what and who he knows obvious. He probably didn’t think it was important enough to make his opinion of Rove known...until now.

I really do not understand how someone like Rove still has credibility. He's a status quo Republican who can not maintain the status quo. On second thought, I think I just answered my own question.
