they thought they would have the time

Harris for 10 years...it can be done, but Joe has to hold on long enough and every day that seems less and less likely.

“...every day that seems less and less likely.”

I would agree with this statement, but with a qualification:

At the moment Joe is very likely not president anyway. And it isn’t whether he got enough votes. He was never supposed to be. He is the finished product of a true front man. Unfortunately they are going to have to get a little creative to hide him from the world for a while. And after the accidental open mike slip of mentioning Pelosi concerning the actions he is taking, he knows what is happening. (For a while)

I’m reminded of the movie “Dave.” Only his eyes are open and they don’t need a robot acting person. They’ve got Joe...for a while.

The socialists needed a warm body they could prop up long enough to get through the election process they created and manipulated and have already lined up a series of follow on bodies to do their bidding...Harris being next. And they are currently through control making the availability of mistakes (or on purpose) of the past election permanent with the use of mail in ballots being the norm.

So if they can keep the ragtime cowboy breathing with his eyes open long enough, two years, they think Harris can get two terms of radical socialist actions that will lock up the country for their feasting. (We both know who’ll serve desert with her ice cream selections)
