After years of making national and international headlines for protesting during the national anthem, U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) player Crystal Dunn declared the team “past the protesting phase” in their fight for racial justice as she and her teammates stood for the playing of the anthem on Sunday.
The USWNT took the field on Sunday at the SheBeleieves Cup in Orlando wearing Black Lives Matter jackets, as they have for some time. However, the political demonstrations stopped there as every member of the team stood for the national anthem.
Dunn said USWNT players arrived at a collective decision to stand prior to the game.

Not that anybody would know. I mean, who watches women’s sports?
Good thing they issued a press release, only the 1 viewer on TV would have known.
Victimhood is powerful. These people need to get over the obsession with “oppressor” and “oppressed.”
At the rate things are going, there won’t even be a WOMEN’s team to talk about.
MEN will be in the women’s team. I’d like to see how they feel about that.
So much for principle, eh?
I have no idea what sport they play. No interest, either. The only interest I have in them is due to the fact that they disrespected the US flag, and the vast number of citizens who respect it. Accordingly, I have nothing but contempt for these women.

They must have realized that three of the five people who give a damn about women's soccer stopped watching. Of course, they couldn't be bothered to also ditch their BLM jackets. As difficult as it may be (snicker), I will continue not to give a damn about women's soccer.

No one watches women’s sports, even the ones that potentially have cuties like team tennis and not bull dykes like basketball.
Accidentally landed on that telecast yesterday and got away from it ASAP.
Wonder what the paid attendance and TV audience was. Didn’t see any mention of that in the article.
Hopefully a few transgender males will soomn be on the team so that these vile women can experience the consequences of their vile nonsense. Anyone know a rational, decent person who is an avid women’s professional soccer or basketball fan?

Economic decision. The team was losing fans and interest. The Olympics are around the corner. Dissing the US is a loser financially. They need to jettison the BLM jackets.
And Trump is no longer in the WH. Politically, the Dems don’t want it. They pulled the plug.
Protesting cut into Merchandise sales, huh?
Do they believe in “Diversity”? - If so, then have a few players wear “All Lives Matter” jackets. Or even each team member wear a “Xxxxx Lives” matter for a different skin color!
