Staggering credit card stats show Americans need next stimulus check

Anticipation is building over the next round of $1,400 stimulus checks. For many, a portion of their relief money may go straight into paying down credit card debt.

Over 45% of U.S. families are still battling credit card debt, says LendingTree’s Value Penguin.

Although Americans' card debt has dipped during the pandemic — as folks cut spending and follow stay-at-home orders — households are still carrying $6,270 in credit card debt on average.

If you take the following shocking credit card statistics into account, it's no surprise many families are holding out for more stimulus relief from President Joe Biden.

1. Card limits total nearly $4 trillion

Americans need next stimulus checks because they chose to spend money they don’t have?
I remember eating eggs, beans, rice, and foods that had been marked down because they were about to expire - for several consecutive years, without eating out ever during that period. Sorry, but I don’t see how people’s bad decisions entitle them to our tax dollars.

When Mrs. Chandler and I were first married we had lean times when we’d eat popcorn and ice tea; standard fare was chicken livers, gizzards and hearts we got cheap from the meat market across the street, sautéed with bacon and onions. To make up for our lack of culinary prestige, we had a lot of sex.

Then there’s Americans who don’t need the stimulus who see another cash cow coming in.

The economic rationale for the stimulus payments is that they aim to prevent long term damage that impairs future growth due to people losing their homes or cars or going into bankruptcy. In concept at least, it is a little like a family providing emergency cash so their son does not get evicted and drop out of college.

I still consider livers sauteed with bacon and onions gourmet fare. My wife hates it, but such things happen in marriage.

Not that it applies to most Americans, but you do remember lockdowns, yes?
So small business owners were forced to close and many paid their debts via CC’s.
Many lost their jobs and are underemployed.
Many dual income families had to become single income due to children not going to school.
CC’s and banks didn’t stop their collections.
Bankruptcies and evictions, in conjunction with inflation, are going to be huge soon.

Great that Rats spent 2 weeks on fake impeachment of their political enemies instead of, like, passing COVID relief.

I’ve never tried chicken gizzards or hearts, but I love me some chicken liver (but hate beef liver).

I like them either fried, or, rinse off the livers, put a water chestnut on each one (for crunch), then wrap in bacon. Bake at 350 for as long as it takes for the bacon to be done.

Good stuff..

Mine isn’t anywhere near that.

Many probably don’t realize the stimi cash was lifted from their own back pocket. At least of those paying taxes.

There should be way more means testing on this ‘relief’. Like, anyone making under $15/hr at least. Probably just anyone looking for a job and can’t find one or has had hours slashed.

Someone making $50k a year doesn’t really need it, no matter where they live.

Then there’s Americans who don’t need the stimulus who see another cash cow coming in.

And then there are several countries that shouldn't be getting anything but will be getting millions or billions and it's their cash cow come true.

They probably smoked those appetite suppressing cigarettes after having sex, as you see it done in the movies. LOL, seriously for those that smoke doesn't smoking suppress ones appetite.
