President Joe Biden’s immigration policies are so bad that even Democrats are begging him to reverse course before disaster hits.
Del Rio, Texas, Democratic Mayor Bruno Lozano is calling on Biden to halt the release of migrants into the area as the state is still battling the brutal winter storm that wreaked havoc this week.
In the clip, Lozano “pleaded” with Biden to stop “any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting court dates into the City of Del Rio and surrounding areas.”
“After the extreme weather and emergency conditions in the area, the city does not have the resources available to house and accommodate these migrants within the community,” a caption for the video reads.
As noted by The Wall Street Journal, migrants are not tested by Customs and Border Protection before they are released across the border, though it is protocol that they’ll be taken to a local hospital if the migrant is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or another illness.
“Aid groups such as the one in Del Rio advise people to quarantine if they believe they may have [COVID]-19, but lack the resources to pay for hotels or other accommodations,” the Journal added.
“I am pleading and requesting with you to please put a halt to any measures regarding the release of immigrants awaiting court dates into the city of Del Rio and surrounding areas,” Lozano asked Biden. “We do not have the resources available to house and accommodate these migrants within our community.”
“I will have no choice but to use the extreme measure under the emergency declaration as the mayor of the city of Del Rio, Texas, to refuse the entry of migrants awaiting court dates into the city of Del Rio,” he told the President. “If you do send these individuals into our community, we will be forced to make a decision to leave them without resources under these dire circumstances.”
“I am asking to please stop,” the Democrat pleaded. “Please make another plan for this federal issue. If you’re going to allow these individuals into our community, I respectfully ask that you provide the means and the supplies necessary to accommodate them safely under these extreme circumstances. Due to the crisis, we cannot provide these supplies.”
“We have been outsourcing dialysis treatments for our in-need persons in our community; we have had to relocate the elderly who are in need of power for oxygen tanks,” he explained. “We are completely and utterly spread thin with resources for our own community.”
Lozano insisted he was in “constant communication with other border mayors” in Texas who are feeling the same strain and share the same concerns about the migrant population.
“Our nonprofits, our churches are running thin with resources to provide to our very own citizens,” the mayor said. “Additionally, we have been burdened with the inadequate communication systems throughout the entire area, which has impacted our ability to respond and coordinate limited resources and distribution.”
“Releasing the migrant population without any COVID-19 protection protocols is undermining your commitment to the stance against COVID-19,” Lozano argued.
“We may be a small town that is off of your radar, but we have a community of 50,000 people who need your attention,” he said. “We are requesting that you please listen and that you please come through.”
The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.
The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

I'm not sure that's actually the case. The USSC shot down an Arizona passed immigration referendum years ago saying the Fedgov has sole authority regarding immigration issues. I doubt any Governor would go against that ruling which is basically Constitutional.
That and other issues is why I wish Texas would secede and reform their own nation as they once were. No, there would not be some great bloody civil war. No one has the stomach for that in this day.

If it were a Republican in office, the mayor would have enlisted the ACLU and sued in a hand-picked court presided over by a judge appointed by Obama.
Illegals don’t need to be tested for any disease when they illegally enter the country, but I can’t go to NYS without several rounds of testing and quarantines.

I am not recommending a law, there is no time for that.
What I suggest is that the governor send the Texas Rangers to wherever the illegals are to be released and stop the release.
I doubt that Biden would want a confrontation but if he does, give it to him.
In Texas I think he could deputize a thousand men or more overnight that would support him.
Well, the Governor should have a right to declare them non-citizens of the state of AZ and deny any state benefits to them. If the feds want to house them, the feds pay for it. If the feds want to give them drivers' licenses, the feds can issue it. If the colonizadors want police, the feds can provide it.
I doubt the opinion of a mayor in a Texas town will have any influence. Isn’t Texas a part of ‘fly-over country’?
Libs disrespect any state or population in the interior of the country. I mentioned this to my brother and his wife in 2016 during the election season. They are Republicans, but not as conservative as I am. They were amazed that I had spoken of the biases of news media who loved only certain areas of the coasts, and who were blatantly pro-Democrat.
They want to turn red state Texas into a blue state.
I LIKE IT! I'm not sure what authority the Rangers have, but if like most Counties, the Sheriff has ultimate authority and can deputize as many as he needs, and he/she can't be fired. That could be the beginning of Texit. It will have to start with a confrontation with the Fed Deep State. This would be the issue to draw the line.

No, that's not how it works unfortunately. The Gov. of Texas cannot enforce immigration law nor stop illegal entry within half mile of the border.
He can however enforce the interior, but by this time the illegals have already set foot on American soil, claim amnesty and now under leftist federal immigration rules...it's catch and release baby. Here's a court date...never seen again. That is till they're arrested for a crime like DWI or some violent offense.
