Despicable! MSNBC, CNN Give Rush the Soviet Treatment, Black Out Morning News of His Death
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/18/2021 8:08:06 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Rush's death is, indisputably, a tremendously newsworthy event—his life and legacy eminently deserving of discussion.

And yet, incredibly, despicably, during their combined six hours of airtime this morning, neither MSNBC's Morning Joe nor CNN's New Day devoted a single moment to a discussion of Rush's passing. On New Day, the blackout was absolute. The word "Rush" never crossed the lips of any of the hosts, reporters, or guests.

The closest Morning Joe came was to mention that President Trump mentioned Rush's passing when appearing yesterday on a number of TV shows. But as for Scarborough and company themselves actually discussing Rush? Not a word.

Get the rest of the story here.

“These are not news channels, they are 100% pure, uncut propaganda networks.”

They are feeding candy to the bulk of their listeners (and thus commercial watchers). A friend that watched the entire impeachment trial thinks it proved Trump is despicable.

I can’t change his mind. There’s no point trying. It’s the way it is.

Screw them.
We SHOULD do the same to them. Project positive conservativism, and ignore the tools.

CNN is a hate based media. They thrive on pushing hate and serve the addicted.

I don’t have TV, but once in a while I get CBSN over the intartubes. When Kathryn announced Rush’s death at the open of the show, I turned on CBSN to see what they would say about it.

In the news-biz race to be the first with breaking news, CBS had zero mention for at least two hours, after which I was out of the house so I don’t know when they managed to get around to it.

Obviously, nobody at CBS News listens to the Rush show or they would have gotten the news earlier.

In my years of listening to Rush, I’ve noticed that the harshest critics of Rush are people who have never listened to a millisecond of his show.

On Hannity’s coverage last night, clips were shown over and over of Rush the night he was being honored at the SOTU address with Nancy busy looking in the opposite direction. Did she think she might catch some of her gang applauding Rush?

Then there were the pictures of her in the background working on the pages of the speech she was planning on tearing up. I wished that OUR PRESIDENT had turned around at that moment to draw attention to her childish behavior, stop the speech and say he wanted to give the world wide audience the chance to see how juvenile the Speaker of the House was and when she was finished with her tantrum, he would continue.

A time lost forever to embarrass her...IF that’s possible!

We have lost A great voice. Someone will rise to replace him. Where once there was one, there is now many of them. Including you and me.

Roger that. I like that guy on Serios or whatever it is called, Andrew Wilkow. He is good. I think he needs a larger voice.
