On Parkland school shooting anniversary, President Joe Biden calls for stronger gun laws: ‘The time to act is now’

Sorrow reverberated across the country Sunday as Americans, including President Joe Biden, joined a Florida community in remembering the 17 lives lost three years ago in the Parkland school shooting massacre.

“In seconds, the lives of dozens of families, and the life of an American community, were changed forever,” Biden said in a statement released Sunday.

The president used the occasion to call on Congress to strengthen gun laws, including requiring background checks on all gun sales and banning assault weapons.

There was no time to wait, the president said. “We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to make a change. The time to act is now.”

The mother of Nikolas Cruz was a violent crack whore, who gave birth to his brother while in prison. While with his adoptive mother, Cruz caused serious trouble with his neighbors many times.

Joe Biden is wrong to blame the crimes of Cruz on the tens of millions of law abiding, conservative Americans who own modern, semi-automatic sporting rifles, and to threaten to steal their property by force of government and wrongful taxes. His pursuit of class-based rights for his plutocratic bosses is also generally wrong.

Well, start an information campaign to let all of those immigrants know that the Democrats want to outlaw their freedom to own firearms and to outlaw other American freedoms. Most Democrat voters are very poorly informed, especially many of the immigrants. Most of them do not want to be powerless victims against armed criminals, and most of them do not want to go to prison for having firearms illegally. And yes, legal immigrants can legally have firearms, for now.

Owners of modern sporting rifles alone (AR-15s, AKs, etc.) number far more than 20 million. There were over 393 million firearms in civilian possession *as of 2017* *as reported in a survey* (Small Arms Survey). Well over half of the population in the U.S.A. now has firearms, and that includes many millions of poorly informed Democrats.
