The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a sweeping order late Friday requiring the use of face masks on nearly all forms of public transportation Monday as the country continues to report thousands of daily COVID-19 deaths.
The order, which takes effect at 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, requires face masks to be worn by all travelers on airplanes, ships, trains, subways, buses, taxis, and ride-shares and at transportation hubs like airports, bus or ferry terminals, train and subway stations and seaports.
The only exceptions are for travelers younger than two and for those with certain medical conditions. People in private cars and solo commercial truck drivers do not have to wear masks.
The order says passengers must wear a mask in transit except for brief periods, such as to eat, drink or take medication. Masks may be either manufactured or homemade.
The CDC said people violating the order could potentially face criminal penalties but suggested civil penalties would be more likely if needed. The order will be enforced by the Transportation Security Administration and federal, state and local agencies.

Have not used any form of public or for hire transportation since very early March. We shall see how long I can maintain my new habits. Work-at-home makes it very easy.

Well then, I identify as 20 months old.
I told my wife that we would not be going anywhere where I had to fly wearing a mask.
There is just no way that I will wear a mask for hours.
A two hour flight is easily four hours of wearing a mask when you include the hours you spend in the airport.
The stress that a mask puts on your body is significant.

I spoke at length with a 30 year surgical veteran. She assured me that all msks come off adap and continually wearing one for 8 to 10 hours a day is causinf fatigue, reducing mental clarity and a generally dangerous atmosphere. Consider that, when your masked surgical team greets you. I did feel better after she confirmed what i have been feeling for months.

I was under the impression, don’t know for a fact, that they pump up the oxygen concentration in surgery rooms to compensate for wearing a mask.
I do know that they raise the O2 concentration on submarines to keep the sailors more alert. Has nothing to do with mask, but it does have relevance to staying alert. I want my surgical team alert.
A couple of thoughts. Anytime I have had to use public transportation, it tends to be dirty to the bone. The seats are sometimes dark from contact and age. The straps and poles have probably never been cleaned. Yet, if the Left had its way, there would be no suburbs, except for theirs, and no private cars, except for theirs. The rest of us would be saving the planet. But who are we saving it for? People who fly their private jets and then take an SUV caravan to climate conferences.
I suspect those conferences are the modern day equivalent of going to THE restaurant in town. This is where the beautiful people went just to be seen, so they would appear in the society column and spark rumors of who their latest love interest is.
Imagine how much faster a plague might spread if the Left had corralled the populous into just a few giant cities. Also, imagine how much easier it would be for an enemy to wipe out our whole country. I saw an estimate that Russia had an estimated 9,000 nuclear weapons. They would have had five thousand left over.
Since when does the cdc have this authority and I’m pretty sure you had to wear a mask on a plane for months now.
Combine this with the change in PCR testing - this is how they’ll claim that PedoJoe conquered covid.

Hey, there was just a thread from the IK Daily that was telling us COVID was actually declining.
So which is it?
So, was there some public transportation space somewhere that doesn’t currently require masks? This wouldn’t be some sort of “grandstanding” would it? Makes the Biden admin look like they’re doing something? Naaaahh. Couldn’t be that!
Two or three little kids, who’s grandma lives down the street from us, apparently had asymptomatic covid because they’re now getting tested for all sorts of post-covid problems. I think they were in the big group of various families who sent their kids back and forth to all the grandma houses here over the summer. Guess they were probably here during the holidays, too. Anyway, the neighborhood is in a buzz because, “kids can’t get it!” Well, guess again.
To become a member, all you have to do is to wear a mask constantly and be seen in public with one on, especially in fancy, fashion designer materials that are the latest "thing".
I wonder, do these people wear masks at night when they sleep? Or when they shower? How about when they eat? Or exercise? Or when they are by themselves in a car?
Masks don't work to prevent anything but stopping germs and bacteria from spreading. They don't stop viruses and never have.
The people who wear them are the sheeple of society. They'll do whatever the government tells them to do.
I just thank my lucky stars I don't use public transportation at all.
There is no public transportation in our neck of the woods. If there were, I wouldn’t have used it before or now.
