The Department of Homeland Security issued a national terrorism alert warning that violent domestic extremists could attack in the coming weeks, emboldened by the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
DHS, in an alert issued Wednesday, said violent extremists opposed to the government and the presidential transition “could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence,” though the department said it doesn’t have evidence of a specific plot.
The DHS release was part of a public alert called a National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin.
The alert is the department’s first in about a year. The last such bulletin from DHS came in January 2020, warning about Iran’s potential to carry out cyberattacks. DHS notably didn’t issue an alert ahead of the Jan. 6 planned rally in Washington, D.C. that devolved into a mob siege at the Capitol, despite public chatter online that extremists planned to do so.

I’d like to report that I’ve been targeted by .eat wing extremists who have waged a ca pain designed to instill fear and angst in the right simply for being g white and conservative. Id also like to report that these far cut domestic terrorists are conspiring to violate my constitutioal rights, and I’d like to report that they have burned dow billions of dollars worth of buildings and businesses, attacked conservatives for simply waring clothing supporting our candidate, beaten us, even killed some and severa,several, and people permanently injured them, or caused them financial ruin.
These far left extremist groups have monikers they go by, namely antifa and blm and the democratic party

I keep hearing them use the word "siege." Does NOBODY in the press know what the word means? An assault, incursion, attack, etc is NOT a "siege." For a siege, you need trenches, investments, tunnels, breastworks, ramparts, boiling oil and maybe lots of archers. You must cut off the food and water supply to the enemy. It takes weeks or months.
Besides, a "siege" requires some siege engines...
Now that I think about it, some siege engines outside the hallowed halls of Congress may not be a bad idea.
