“The people of Texas are sick and tired of living under 180,000 pages of federal laws administered by 2.5 million unelected bureaucrats,” said Miller. That can be paraphrased as:
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
Now where did I read that before?

I wonder if they’ll have to change the amusement park to 7 Flags over Texas or if they’ll just revert back to the 4th flag and leave it as is?

I’d vote for it, just to put some real fear in the Feral Monster.

I thought they took down the flags, because of the one flag that cannot be shown. :-P

Texas would probably take the mid-west up to the Canadian Border with them.

Did they? It has been 20 years since I was there. They probably did. The Texas National Guard unit I served in traced its lineage back to the Battle of the Alamo and in fought in the civil war of course. our motto was “Remember the Alamo”. We have a plaque at the Alamo as IIRC.

And the only office holders can be people who were born in Texas. Period.

So the Texas legislature
might vote on a bill that if passed by both branches and signed by the Governor would enable a referendum vote that tells the legislature to
consider secession.
Sounds like a lengthy process.

I turned down an opportunity to take a new position with my company in Texas. I’m starting to rethink it.

They can load the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock on a flatbed and ship it to a blue state.

And hopefully the Southeast and Mountain States...
But..... What happens when most of Virginia wants in? All but about 4 or 5 areas are as RED as they can be. Think about Michigan Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. The only reason they have Dem Governors is because of the cities. Most of the state is Conservative. That’s the way it is in most of the country.
What happens when the people of Colorado, outside of Denver-Boulder-Colorado Springs want in? Even most of Oregon and Washington are like that.

“ the Texas Legislature should create a joint interim committee to create a plan for independence for the state.”
Sounds like a lot of bureaucracy to divest Texas from bureaucracy.
To: PGR88
Texas would probably take the mid-west up to the Canadian Border with them. LOL! If Texas walks out then I agree that it'll be the beginning of the splitting up of the U.S. But given a choice I'd rather join with the other Great Plains states and form our own country than hitch our wagon to Texas.
To: Slyfox
We will no longer be “One Nation Under God Indivisible” Given the Satanic scourge destroying everything from Democrat City, Texas would become “One Nation Under God Indivisible.” May God Bless Texas, and may He smite the Satanic creeps in Democrat City with all of His righteous fury and wrath.

The liberal moronic asshats and their ilk in DC want to kill fossil fuels? I’m quite sure Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas can help em out with that.
