Gov. Northam says decision to revisit a gun ban in 2021 would be 'up to the discretion of the legislature'
Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam and other state Democratic lawmakers have appeared to slow their efforts to ban assault weapons in the state.
Virginia's Democrat-controlled Senate last January rejected Northam's bill to ban assault weapons, including some semiautomatic rifles, and voted to take up the matter again in a year.
Nearly one year later, Northam, whose term expires in 2022, told WRIC on Monday that he'll leave the decision to revisit a gun ban "up to the discretion of the legislature."
"Whatever they do, I’ll be supportive of," Northam said.

Virginia Governors are term limited to one (consecutive) term. Another Democrat tyrant will be along shortly. Virginia is lost, thanks to fraud, immigration both legal and illegal, and the Northern Virginia + Richmond + college town liberal infestations. I left a year ago in disgust and am now a proud Tennessean.
I wonder what’s happening in VA in 2021 that would influence this decision?
Ask the folks in The Dominion. They will know. But, if the do kick him out it will be to install Pol Pot Jr.

No. They still control the votes.
The Virginia dems know they lost big and voter fraud carried them through. They were thoroughly demolished. Unfortunately the 3 or 4 that lost house seats are still scheduled to be seated. Trump won also.
Translation: “If there is another mass shooting in the next few months we can milk to ram a ban through we’ll do it, but short of that the ban is probably dead”
FIRST, Northam needs to PUT the statue of Robert E. Lee, back in the Rotunda of the Virginia Capitol. Robert E. Lee, without whom there would have been no Virginia, and there would not have been for his contemporaries and their ancestors as well, who shared common views of their time- and the legal businesses of their time. You cannot re-write history by removing the people who made it- and did so honorably- and who also signed a Loyalty Oath, following the war, an Oath which was somehow conveniently lost— and found more 150 years later in the Library of Congress.
The next to go— will be Thomas Jefferson, then James Madison, and so forth through our Founders. The removal of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms- our 2nd Amendment is just ONE more step to the goals of the Totalitarian World Marxist/Socialist government. It is in the list of the Comintern’s steps to control the US— they have to do it— because they know they cannot stop a FREE people, and control them (not even with a HYPED coronavirus, hyped with false data and number pokery) == without they remove our ability to defend against the very governmental types WE ESCAPED as a Nation— from European Monarchies and their descendants.

So make the real bodies unhealthy with a CHI-COM bioweaponized virus.... as a form of personal control. Don’t support any vaccine, don’t support simple proven preventive therapy— no- put people out of a job, or their business.

Yes, per state constitution provisions, almost certainly to be replaced by Terry McAuliffe. There is no VA GOP that I am aware of, despite living here.
The Virginia governor’s seat is term limited to one four-year term. The rapist, Justin Fairfax will be contending against Terry McAulliffe in 2021. Republicans are an afterthought in Virginia.

Not. With 76% of the votes counted, the Republican was ahead for Governor in the last race. They found the votes they needed in the last 24%.
Nope. The NoVa counties’ votes are tabulated last. That lead was illusory.

Never thought I’d see Virginia fall the way it has, but sure enough the Federal employees and contractors have spread like cancer throughout northern VA and turned that state’s politics dark blue.
Virginia is lost.
Well, let’s tabulate them all at the same time and see what happens.
It won’t matter.. it’s all about the numbers.. the NoVa counties were inundated by government “workers” in the last 15 years.
So much of the state is dependent on the beltway.
Govt employees and govt contractors.
I doubt it reduced in size the last 4 years, either.
