MADISON - The state Supreme Court showed deep divisions Saturday as it contemplated a final push by President Donald Trump to throw out Democrat Joe Biden's narrow win in Wisconsin.
The arguments — a rarity on a weekend — came amid a string of legal setbacks for the president. During the arguments, a federal judge in Milwaukee ruled against Trump, dealing the seventh defeat to Trump and his allies in 10 days over Wisconsin's results.
The three liberals on the state's high court showed extreme skepticism toward Trump's arguments. Three conservatives showed some support for at least parts of his claims.
Unclear were the views of Justice Brian Hagedorn, who was elected last year with the support of Republicans but has sided at times with the liberals. He joined the liberals last week in turning down three other challenges to Wisconsin's election results.
In the latest case, the justices are expected to rule before the Electoral College meets at noon Monday.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR WITH WISCONSIN’s CASE:
Biden won Wisconsin by about 21,000 votes out of 3.3 million cast, giving him a margin of victory of 0.6 percentage points. Trump paid $3 million for a recount in Dane and Milwaukee counties, but the recount slightly widened Biden’s win.
Trump brought a lawsuit directly to the state Supreme Court, but the justices rejected it on a 4-3 vote last week, saying he should start in lower court.
Trump then filed a new challenge and Reserve Judge Stephen Simanek on Friday ruled against Trump, saying officials had run a fair election that was free of widespread fraud and misconduct.
Hours later, Trump appealed and asked the Supreme Court to take up the case rather than have it go to the Court of Appeals. The justices agreed to take the case and scheduled Saturday’s arguments.
NO WAY they will find for Trump after what SCOTUS just did.
I listened to arguments for about 5 minutes... I couldn’t take anymore.... those justices are sold out.
Wisconsin can start the ball rolling on unwinding the fraud but will they? Didn’t sound promising.
So many corrupt losers...so little time. Oh that justice soon finds them all.
Im sure those in the state legislatures and thier families are being threatened, harassed. All it takes is a close acquaintance killed in a burning car mishap to get the message across
The Trump arguments were solid.
The Leftist judges basicaly said following the law was unfair and racist.
The Court is split 4 conservatives, 3 leftists.
By law, the votes should be thrown out.
The Chief justice seemed sympathetic to the fact the law had not been followed, and the court was required to do what the law demanded.
The law demanded, if the legal procedures were not followed, the ballots *must* be thrown out.
Black letter law, not conjecture.
The Biden attorney essentially said, in pretty words: unfair, unfair, unfair.
Bump
Lefties look at the law solely as a vehicle to advance political purposes. Conservatives tend to look at it as following the law.
We need a miracle moment from the Lord God Almighty, giving Him ALL the honor and glory!
I couldn’t watch much of it. Took about 2 minutes to see who the anti Trump activist judges were....that they were hostile is putting it mildly.
>>> The Biden attorney essentially said, in pretty words: unfair, unfair, unfair.
Now i’m sorry i stopped watching.
I’m still so depressed about SCOTUS.
Case closed. This should be a unanimous Trump court victory. Ballot drop off boxes illegal. The law is the law. Any absentee ballots from these drop boxes are illegal.
I have an invisible unicorn to sell anyone who thinks the courts or others are going to do a damn thing in favor or Trump. The writing was on the wall before the election and has gone downhill since.
The Court is split 4 conservatives, 3 leftists.

So there’s a chance?
slim to none..
and slim just got up to leave.
There is a chance. I am really praying for a judicial solution where the courts solve this (because I don’t like the remaining solutions).
Good chance the US Supremes overrule them or support a win ...
