Rep. Dan Crenshaw faced the wrath of fellow conservatives including Newsmax host Michelle Malkin for calling out a Georgia lawyer who recommended Republican voters skip next month’s Senate contests.
Mr. Crenshaw, a Texas Republican and former Navy SEAL, shared a video on social media Thursday showing the attorney, L. Lin Wood, suggesting fellow Georgians boycott the upcoming special elections.
“They have not earned your vote. Don’t you give it to them. Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election, for God’s sake?” Mr. Wood said in the video Mr. Crenshaw shared on Twitter.
“Lin Wood is a Democrat that wants Republicans to self-destruct,” Mr. Crenshaw said in the Twitter post. “He just wants your donations for his legal fees. He’s a grifter.”
Ms. Malkin, a conservative blogger who started the Twitchy website, replied to that post by referring to the eye patch Mr. Crenshaw wears as a result of losing an eye fighting in Afghanistan.
“Dan Crenshaw is a globalist John McCain in an eyepatch who loves to party hardy while our country burns,” Ms. Malkin tweeted. “PROTECT OUR ELECTION SYSTEM & OUR COUNTRY, NOT THE GOP SWAMP!”
Rep. Eric Swalwell, California Democrat, was quick to come to his Republican colleague’s defense on Twitter afterward.

Malkin is right.
Crenshaw is a Bush League Republican.
“Interesting” company he keeps.
And what the heck is it that Schwab is wearing there?
While I’m not entirely pleased with how we fought those wars
in the Middle-East and beyond, I do respect people who serve
honorably. It’s not their choice what wars our leaderships
choose.
Dan served with honor, and was wounded in action. I respect
that.
I don’t think anyone has the entire answer to how to combat
terrorism. As our men fight these wars these days, the deaths
remain considerably less per capita that deaths in past wars.
I do believe we wind up with more severely wounded men
pulling through, and although they do, it’s a heavy burden
on them and their families.
IMO < those people in the foreign lands we enter are not
friends of the United States. Many of them hate us with a
passion, and will do anything they can to harm us.
The Trade Center is one example.
We can pull back to our shores, and guarantee all future
battles will be fought on our soil. We can try to make
sure our enemies don’t advance everywhere else.
The choices are not easy.
I find my self occasionally liking or agreeing with a statement or idea from someone I otherwise don’t like. I have not found any politician to be without blind spots- flaws and assorted quirks. I happen to not like Crenshaw much but am fond of Malkin. In this case I agree with Crenshaw and disagree with Malkin.
It’s upsetting to see us tearing ourselves and each other apart over this. My opinion is that it’s imperative we hold the Senate- knowing these two gop candidates leave a lot to be desired- I would still vote for them.
My observation is that Powell and Wood have added a dimension of excitement and to me- unbelievable claims to the mix. Lots of hyberolic talk, getting people hopeful and alluding to things they’ve “heard” or “been told” or “believe”. I don’t trust drama.
It disappoints me because I had great respect for Powell but I think she’s treading in troubled waters. Wood, I simply don’t trust.
This election was tampered with and Biden did not win. The handful of dems I’ve talked to about it agree. I believe there are multiple agendas, psyops, disinformation and deliberate mayhem being dumped on our country. I’m furious about it and I’m determined not to take it out on people on the right who see parts of it differently than I do. I don’t believe people who think gop voters in Georgia should stay home are stupid or dumb or anything like that. They are still my friends- we just disagree.
Fighting battles on our soil is the last thing we want and always a matter of desperation.!
If we must fight battles I want all the damage, innocent casualties and the like to occur somewhere else ! This is not to be interpreted as we be the world’s policeman. We just need to be very very judicious as to where we commit ground troops. Something which we haven’t been in the past
I tend to agree with your thoughts there.
At the same time, I do want to point out that there will be
a nation that is seen as an international police force.
We need to accept that it’s going to be the United States
or China?
I recommend it continue to be the United States.
When nations enter other nations ‘to help out’, connections
are made. Alliances are developed.
We must keep our fingers in as many pies as we can, so that
we have a line of communication when things go South.
It may suck to be out there. I think it would suck a lot
more if we weren’t.
Dan Crenshaw is an anti-Trump eGOP RINO.
Lin Wood votes for Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes and Trump. I will Lin Wood any day over Dan Crenshaw who is John McCain 2.0. These attacks inn Lin Wood are ridiculous. I would take Lin Wood over any RINO any day.
Dan Crenshaw comes off as arrogant jerk too!
swallwell.....hahaha.......fartacus...the joke that keeps on giving
I see...what she did there
Not fart on camera on national TV?
No paywall.
Crenshaw is often wrong are you paying attention to that
And that Trump just held a rally encouraging voters to vote for those GOP candidates?
Why do you want Democrats to control the Senate???
Walt Kelly was right
There’s a whole lot of posts on here talking out of both sides of their face.
They want less commitment from ground forces”, yet they also want to insure that we “have our fingers in lots of pies” elsewhere. And that their must be a “world’s policeman” somewhere. This all sounds like Lincoln Project Neo-Conservatism.
Rick Wilson, Hugh Hewitt and their buddies can use this philosophy to distract us from tyranny at home to focus our rage on relatively benign threats abroad. All the while our wealth and sons and daughters are being conscripted for use in advance Left-wing globalism around the globe.
Once you agree that the world needs a “policeman”, then you’ve already stepped on the slippery slope to Globalism. After all (as any Leftist will tell you)....it’s for the World’s own good.
You:
“Battle lines are being drawn. MAGA vs. Cuck Conservatives.”
President Donald Trump “When Kelly came in, I didn’t know what to think. There was nobody that fought harder for me,”
So, based upon your infinite wisdom, is Trump both MAGA and a “Cuck Conservative?”
Crenshaw is reliably unreliable.
Crenshaw = Cuck Conservative.
