Sen. Rick Scott: Trump's Florida election victory has important lesson for Republicans nationwide
Fox News ^ | December 4, 2020 | Rick Scott |

Republicans have built a multi-ethnic, working-class coalition of Florida voters who don’t like big government, don’t like socialism and just want the opportunity to live their lives in freedom and peace.

This doesn’t mean that all government is bad. It just means that government should live within its means and that essential services provided by government — like the national defense and important safety net programs — should be efficiently and effectively managed.

In my races for governor and the U.S. Senate, I didn’t treat Latino voters as an afterthought, an add-on, or an “outreach” group. Latinos were fundamental to all of my elections, and are fundamental to the emerging Republican coalition that leads the way in Florida.

President Trump had incredible success in Florida because his message resonated with this diverse coalition of voters who don’t neatly fit into the pundits’ and pollsters’ conception of the political world. And he worked to earn votes in my state — a necessity that Florida Democrats seemingly forgot about decades ago.

All this explains why the success of Florida Republicans, including the president, is a model for Republicans across the country.

He is wrong.

Republicans have built a multi-ethnic, working-class coalition of Florida voters who don't like big government,

No Trump built it...and they will not vote GOP unless Trump is the head of the party ...or starts a new party

They know the GOP is useless...Trump exposed them as all talk

None of which matters at all if democrats get away with stealing elections.

Hispanics in Florida are different. They’re mostly Cubans and Venezuleans, they hate socialism because of communist hell holes they’ve left.

Exactly right. These people trust Trump - but they will never vote Republican without him.

What difference does FLA make if Dems are going to be allowed to get away with cheating in other states. The GOP needs to fix and stop the voter fraud first (right now) then worry about appealing to various segments of the voting population.

There are many reasons why Trump beat Biden by almost 400,000 votes on Nov 3.

The principal reason is that over the years Florida has enacted several laws that make cheating more difficult.

For instance, how many states have enacted a law where a person has to provide Proof of Citizenship when they apply or renew their Florida Driver’s License?

How many states put a hologram on the Driver’s License indicating a person has supplied Proof of Citizenship?

How many states have a clause in their State Constitution stating a person has to be a citizen to vote? And let me add that Citizenship clause in the Florida Constitution was approved by 80% of the Florida voters on Nov 3. Not only do Republicans want fair elections, even the Democrats and Independents wanted to have zero votes from Non-Citizens.

Florida has removed corrupt County Election Supervisors under the powers given to the Governor.

Florida has removed Dominion from most of its ‘problem counties’; i.e. those counties controlled by corrupt Democrats.

With all of the anti-cheating laws, rules, and regulations in place in Florida, the November 2020 Election Cheaters instead went to those States where cheating much easier.

And to the other 49 states and DC, I say this. Get off your butts and clean up your house.

Another lesson is, the voting in the large, populous state of Florida went efficiently and without scandal. The results were known quickly and there were no “missing” ballots that were suddenly “discovered” days or weeks later. There were no defects in the elections system that the Democrats could use to try and hide their cheating.

Well—It’s certainly given Scott confidence that he can shit on his constituents with no expectations of reprisal.

Florida allows mail in ballots to be opened and processed 22 days before Election Day. The other states that has the “mysterious” ballot drops do not allow processing and counting of mail in ballots until Election Day. I wish all states should allow processing and counting of ballots prior to Election Day.

And yes we still have some scoundrels in Florida.

The minimum wage amendment was a gift from John Morgan of Morgan and Morgan Trial Lawyers. Morgan has spent millions over the years to promote and get passed Amendments to the Florida Constitution that irritate the conservatives.

"None of which matters at all if democrats get away with stealing elections."

That doesn't make any sense. The article is right there, facing you. Look what Florida Republicans did, even with so many voters from the northeastern states. Floridians convinced enough people to vote Republican, that they overwhelmed all of the Democrat efforts to cheat. Now, with control of the state government, they will clean up the election process even more.

Florida gave its electoral votes to President Trump. Florida has two Republican Senators, a Republican Governor, and most of its delegates to the U.S. House of Representatives are Republicans.

Now, compare that to the result of the great and clever tactics of defeatism and conspiracy theories in Georgia.

That is why party messaging should always be about a balance of values and policies instead of pigment and preferences.

Conservatism works without checking the ethnicity, gender or sexual preference of the person practicing it.

Conservatism does even check to see if it’s a human.

It's the other way around. Get the votes first.

Conservative voters in Florida made enough difference in Florida. Mainly, they convinced enough other voters to overwhelm Democrat cheating with more votes. What did conservative voters in those other states do?

Conspiracy theories and defeatism are useless. So are libertine indulgences that turn voters to the left (e.g., dope).

In other words, a state won’t stop election fraud, while Democrats are in control of that state. Elect Republicans first, then tell them to fix the election problems.

I think it might have more to do with preventing anonymous semi trailers full of phony votes pulling up to the back loading docks of the “vote counting” factories in Broward and Palm Beach in the middle of the night.

Processing mail-in ballots for 22 days before Election Day is a disaster waiting to happen. This gives election officials an opportunity to go back to voters and “fix” ballots that should be disqualified. It’s a system designed for corrupt election officials and morons who are incapable of filling out a ballot correctly. Ironically, with all of its senior citizens Florida might be the only state where the Republican morons outnumber the Democrat morons.

1) Rep. get the votes them Dems will just ‘create’ even more votes. Winning FLA does not mean anything if Dems can get away with fraud in other states. Trump won FLA and OH by good margins but what good is that to him now?

2) it’s not a conspiracy theory massive fraud is going on this election in various states. Dems are just waiting to see if they get away with it.
