The New York Times asked 700 epidemiologists to describe their COVID-19 habits, how their thinking has changed since the pandemic began, and when they think it will be safe for normal life to resume. Dismayingly, several answered that last question with a resounding never.
"I expect that wearing a mask will become part of my daily life, moving forward, even after a vaccine is deployed," Amy Hobbs, a research associate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, told The Times.
Marilyn Tseng, an assistant professor at California Polytechnic State University, said life would never revert to the way it was, though the preventative measures currently practiced—masks and social distancing—will feel "normal" in time. Similarly, Vasily Vlassov, a professor at HSE University in Moscow, said life was perfectly normal now because this is the new normal.
Others disagreed. Michael Webster-Clark of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill said he expected "further relaxation of most precautions by mid-to-late summer 2021" following widespread availability of the vaccine. Some epidemiologists said their own risk aversion would decrease after they were vaccinated, but many said they would remain just as cautious until "80 percent or more" of the entire population had received the vaccine.
On the whole, the epidemiologists were less wary of touching surfaces than they were at the start of the pandemic, and some thought young children could go back to school. But just 26 percent said they either had or would have allowed their children to return to the classroom, or even attend an outdoor play date with friends. Only 29 percent were willing to get a haircut, even though the most infamous case involving two hairstylists who had COVID-19 resulted in not a single infection among their 139 clients.

Like we didn’t see this one coming.
There must be bodies everywhere.
i want a world free of these people
how bout that?
In conclusion, epidemiologists are idiots,
I want them to STFU, forever.
Maybe they always wanted to be recluses. Okay for them, just leave normal people alone.
We are very close to herd immunity already. Normal people are just going through the motions. Liberals are crazed and always will be.
God constructed us WITHOUT masks. He wants us to breathe in fresh air and empty our lungs of co2 and other debris.
I agree we must “sterlize” the world free of these sub human diseases.
I don’t believe they asked 700 epidemiologists.
These medical clowns have not room to complain about the Virus. HCQ and Ivermectin have been proven to cure the virus but the quacks ignore the proof and kill thousands. The CDC and FDA should be shut down as they are responsible for thousands of deaths from the Virus. They cannot see the forest for the trees, just their bank balance.
Those same experts want ladders outlawed because 500,000 people die each year after falling off them.
Masking and social distancing are incompatible with truly human life. And they are very injurious to mental and spiritual health!!!!
Widespread vaccination must occur to produce herd immunity (as with flu, measles, etc.), and then we must get back to normal—REAL normal!!!!
And we must NOT accept the theft of the 2020 election by the vicious biden cabal!!!! They want to use and extend covid restrictions for things like “climate”, and to make once free Americans slaves of their evil and illegitimate globalist dictatorship!!!!
Frankly I find it hard to believe that The New York Times asked 700 epidemiologists anything at all... Like CNN they manufacture their own news and push it as truth.
If you took all of the epidemiologists in the world and laid them end to end, that would be a good thing.
Japan is a very densely populated nation so I suppose that could be a factor.
maybe we can just call it a ‘vaccine’ against them

Because the reality is, like any flu virus, if you’re healthy, you likely won’t catch it.
