Court rules 5-4 that restrictions violated First Amendment as new Justice Amy Coney Barrett casts decisive vote.
The Supreme Court late Wednesday struck down New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's new COVID-19 restrictions on religious gatherings, as new Justice Amy Coney Barrett cast one of her first high-impact votes and Chief Justice John Roberts sided in dissent with the court's liberal bloc.
In a 5-4 decision, the court said Cuomo's restrictions violated the Constitution's First Amendment right to freedom of worship and granted an injunction barring the rules from being enforced.
"Members of this Court are not public health experts, and we should respect the judgment of those with special expertise and responsibility in this area," the majority opinion said. "But even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten. The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty."

We will certainly get yet another chance or two as the Bush dynasty has positioned another Bush family member (George P. Bush<-Jeb’s kid) as Texas Land Commissioner. George P. is being groomed for a Texas gubernatorial run in the future.
Furthermore, the Bush family propped up Pierce Bush for a FAILED run in 22nd district house seat in Sugarland, Texas.
Freaking Bush's. GHWB and GWB were both North-easterners. Dragging their compassionate conservatism or more well known as liberalism down here to Texas.
These people...all the way back to Sen. Prescott Bush, well known Skull/Bones member purportedly broke into Geronimo's tomb and made off with his skull to display in the Skull and Bones fraternity house. They truly believe it is their families destiny to rule over you and I.
The ruling should have a direct effect on the states belonging to the circuit that brought the case but since this is a SCOTUS ruling, a precedent has been sent and any cases brought up in other districts should be judged based off this result if I’m interpreting how things are suppose to work.
Will Faccim Jr. simply ignore a SCOTUS ruling like Gov. Witchderp of Michigan did?
Why it was so important to get another real originalist on the court. Without Amy Coney Barrett this ruling is not happening because once again Roberts sided with liberals. Like the Chinese will always own Biden, liberals have something on Roberts. I would suspect his sexuality.
At the same time, the Governor has chosen to impose no capacity restrictions on certain businesses he considers “essential.”
And it turns out the businesses the Governor considers essential include hardware stores, acupuncturists, and liquor stores.
Bicycle repair shops, certain signage companies, accountants, lawyers, and insurance agents are all essential too.
So, at least according to the Governor, it may be unsafe to go to church, but it is always fine to pickup another bottle of wine, shop for a new bike, or spend the afternoon exploring your distal points and meridians. Who knew public health would so perfectly align with secular convenience?

With this ruling, the Democrats should be shaking in their shoes since this is possible a signal on how Justice Barrett will rule on the election if it makes it way to the Supreme Court.

Also,now Christians can even *sing* at their services (don't know if Jews sing during theirs)!
They need to hurry up and arrest Roberts and charge him with pedophilia on Epstein’s island . . . get him to resign . . . and get a real chief justice.
One thing we should all be thankful is that at Mitch did get the judges appointed especially Amy. Just think where would this country be right now.
Somebody, somewhere has “something” on Roberts and pressures him to vote with the Pinkos.

Roberts is a reliably Dem vote, on whatever he deems necessary to destroy the Right in this country.
At this point, we will never see Roberts go with the corrrect side ever again. He’s been bought & paid for ever since the odongoCare ruling.
Whatever it is that they have on him, it must be some kind of “juicy”. Epstein Island videos & pics? Who knows, but IF Biden (God forbid) prevails, it most likely will be made public to force the compromised POS to have to resign so that they can get another communist judge on the SCOTUS.
Hope Robert’s enjoys being in the minority for a change.

Fortunately, the odds are against this. Raphael Warnock is downright scary. Trump lost in part thanks to wealthy white Republican "wine moms" in the suburbs of Atlanta who voted for Sonny Perdue and Joe Biden. They're not going to vote for Warnock or Ossoff
Nonetheless though, we need to fight like hell for what promises to be the most expensive Senate races in history. If the GOP loses these two seats, Joe Manchin will find himself the most powerful man in DC.
