Chinese “military harassment” of Taiwan is stoking suspicions that Beijing will attempt to seize control of the territory before the U.S. military finishes reorienting to stymy such attacks.
“It is just a matter of time before things backfire and seriously harm the CCP’s image on the international stage,” Taiwanese cabinet minister Ming-Tong Chen said during a Heritage Foundation webinar Wednesday morning.
Beijing’s desire for a good reputation may soon be outweighed by the perceived balance of power off the coasts of China, officials and analysts fear. Former White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster suspects that Chinese officials feel a “relative advantage” over the United States that they worry is dwindling as Pentagon officials overhaul their plans for how to position U.S. forces in the Indo-Pacific. That, the retired general believes, suggests the world has entered “a dangerous time.”
“They may also believe that the United States is weakened these days,” McMaster told the American Enterprise Institute on Tuesday. "Those leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, maybe, believe they're now in a position of relative advantage … [which] may lead them to the belief that there is just only a fleeting window of opportunity that they have to take advantage of, now. Or maybe between now and the communist party congress in 2022.”

IIRC, weather conditions are favorable to a ChiCom invasion only in mid-Sring and mid-Fall. The Straight between the PRC and Taiwan is too rough the rest of the year to launch an invasion.
That said, if Xi JinBiden is able to succeed with the election heist, the ChiComs have four years to plan and take Taiwan. If the miracle happens that we are all praying for and PDJTgets his rightful second term, it will force Xi JinPing’s hand. A dying economy is not good for his popularity and he is bound for a coup.
I doubt that India would want China to consolidate more power. They could easily interdict China’s oil supplies.
Japan would likely act as well. China has every intention of dominating the Earth.

China is one of the few that could muster such. Some have claimed India but I don’t expect an alliance between them.

Ask yourself why Adm Nimitz rolled over for Douglas MacArthur when they had that joint strategy session with FDR. Mac wanted to go for the Philippines — which is what the US eventually did. But Nimitz wanted to go for Formosa (Taiwan). I suspect that everybody knew that Taiwan was the tougher nut to crack. Fewer acceptable landing beaches, difficult terrain and a large number of defenders. That strategic problem remains 75 years later.

I would like to know what we secretly gave Taiwan in military armor over the years..off the book stuff.
They are well armed and highly motivated. Not to mention 100s maybe thousands of miles of hidden tunnels and other surprises. India recently showed the Chinese military to be somewhat inept.
