Accused child abuser Ghislaine Maxwell is roused by a flashlight every 15 minutes in her cell to make sure she hasn’t killed herself like Jeffrey Epstein — and subjected to more onerous conditions than the Bureau of Prison’s most dangerous inmates, her lawyers wrote Tuesday in a letter.
“She is overmanaged under conditions more restrictive than inmates housed in 10South, the most restrictive unit in the MCC; or individuals convicted of terrorism and capital murder and incarcerated at FCI Florence ADMAX, the most restrictive facility operated by the BOP,” the filing states.
The letter is in response to a Monday filing from federal prosecutors informing the judge that Maxwell had a COVID-19 scare after possible exposure to an infected staffer at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and was placed in quarantine.

Suicide by sleep depravation.....
She is observed every 15 minutes.
That is standard suicide watch protocol.
It upgrades to every 5 minutes or constant observation in high risk cases.
And the problem is?
Because she’ll definitely commit suicide when she’s sleeping.
The 15 minute checks are standard procedure in a correctional setting. Usually in conjunction with continuous video surveillance. And I’ve seen suicide watch prisoners sleep quite well even with the 15 minute checks. This is bullshit sensationalism.

Judging by what happened to Epstein it may be that the guards should be roused every 15 minutes...

Night vision optics are very affordable today.
Low light CCTV is very common for security work. A Ring door bell system has pretty good low light performance and is pretty cheap. Of course I would never get one because I don't want Amazon owning the images captured by the system.
Sleep deprivation is considered torture.

This is just plain stupid.
If there is fear she will commit suicide, put her in a room with nothing she could use to hang from, warm up the facility, take away all sheets and blankets, or wherever she could tear up to hang herself. Worse case scenario, they could sedate her, so her heart and body will actually sleep pretty well.
The only reason for such a sop, is to kill her as a witness.
This is precisely what they did with Jim McDougal, who has turned witness against the Clinton’s for laundering over $60 million from savings and loan. Jim McDougal was scheduled for further testimony while in federal prison with a heart condition, and even after pleading for his meds and help, help and meds were denied. He died at 58.

When I was pulling fire guard in Army boot camp, we had some kid threaten suicide. We had to check on him eevery five minutes. Shine a flashlight in their face.

Couldn’t they strap her with some kind of vital-sign monitors like they do in telemetry wards in hospitals? Red alert if she stops breathing or sudden changes in heart rate, bp etc?
Nobody has ever committed suicide “...like Neffrey Epstein.”
She is not in Colorado.
