President Donald Trump's struggle to deny the results of the election is now up against an existential threat: a rapid succession of states due to certify their election results before the critical date of December 8.
Certification is usually just a formality. But the process has taken on new importance this year as Trump's legal team has sought to delay the finalization of results -- a strategy aimed at denying Joe Biden his due victory in the Electoral College, which votes December 14.
The idea is that if there's no certification, then Republican-run state legislatures in a few key states -- especially Michigan and Pennsylvania -- could appoint pro-Trump slates of presidential electors, even though Biden won the popular vote in those states.
The entire scheme revolves around December 8. That's the "safe harbor" deadline under federal law. What that means is that when Congress tallies the electoral votes in January, it must accept electors that were certified before the deadline. If a state missed the deadline, then Congress can consider disputed slates of electors.

Expecting that there are enough courageous Republicans to over ride the votes and appoint Trump electors was always a pipe dream.
I know of only one Republican with courage, his name is Donald Trump.

There are very few astute political observers who do not believe that there was significant fraud in Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphis, Pittsburg, Phoenix, Flint and Las Vegas that gave Biden his fraudulent victory. Most intelligent people view Biden as a corrupt politician who accumulated great wealth on a career government salary, a vile criminal who sold his office and used his addicted, diseased son as a bagman and a demented tool of leftist globalists. Yet if the American population is going to understand all this, it won’t come from the MSM which moved beyond bias and into open collusion with this criminal. Trump must clearly show in plain , understandable terms the nature of the fraud, who did it, who paid for it and how it altered the election. He must show clear evidence to the American people. Even if he cannot prevail in the courts, it is vitally important for people to come to the realization that this criminal Biden was not legitimately elected and that he is in every sense a vile fraud.
You know what’s even weirder? I just looked through my pocket constitution and still not able to find where the media decides who won. Crazy huh? There is actually a process that must be followed. Who would have thought?
From Article II of the Constitution: "The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by Ballot one of them for President;
I don't see anywhere that Dec. 8 is some sort of magical date. It looks like to me that McConnell could postpone opening the certificates.
