According to Sensor Tower, Newsmaxs rank among free apps in Apples App Store climbed from No. 1,061 on Election Day to No. 8 on Saturday.
On Saturday, when major decision desks were calling the 2020 election for Joe Biden, Fox News joined them. For much of the day, the conservative news outlet was splashed with chyrons about Bidens victory as its correspondents covered the historic moment in earnest. Over at Newsmax, meanwhile, readers could find stories about how the mainstream media called it for Biden, but that Newsmax itself had not.
Lines were drawn in the sand, and for Newsmax Media, those lines seem to be paying off. The conservative outlets mobile app is definitely enjoying a moment since the election. According to data tracking firm Sensor Tower, Newsmaxs rank among free apps in Apples App Store climbed from No. 1,061 on Election Day to No. 8 on November 8, the day after the election was called for Biden. As of yesterday, it hit its highest rank ever, Sensor Tower says. The app is seeing a similar bump on Google Play.

A similar splintering of audiences is taking place on social media networks as conservative usersangry about what they see as anti-conservative bias from Big Tech companies like Facebook and Twitterflock to alternative platforms like Parler, which similarly shot to the top of app store charts in the days following Bidens victory.
Of course, it will be a while before the dust settles on the post-Trump era, and the true winners wont be known for some time. But if this week is any indication, the balance of power in the media universe could look a lot different in the months and years to come.

Newmax at present just doesn’t have the resources or talent to compete with Fox. Not yet, anyway. Maybe with the increased interest it will get better.
I still watch F&F, Outnumbered OT, Tucker and Shannon Bream. Life Liberty and Levin on Sunday is usually well worth the time to watch. If there is big news, I may watch it more often, because Fox is still very good with their timely reporting of Breaking News.
FNC is included with my cable tv package. I’m paying something for them, even I decide not to watch them. I have looked into “cutting the cable” but have not done so mainly because of the hassle in trying to find an amalgamation of streaming channels that allow me to watch what I want.
I cant get regular OAN on my Pluto app. Its OAN Encore, which isnt live news.
Since I signed up for Newsmax, I haven’t been watching Tucker, but I heard he has toned down his show—talking about things like defunding the police instead of the attempted election heist. Someone on high, perhaps George Soros, has been leaning on Fox News personalities to clam up on The Steal.
I deleted Fox years ago. Once the Murdoch childrens crazy libtard wives grabbed control, it was over.
Newsmax is great, except for Spicer, who went on a rant about how there was no evidence of SPECIFIC incidents of cheating.
Apparently, Mr Spicer had been in a medically induced coma for a few days.
Yah, but have you ordered your TRUMPY BEAR?
OAN is great, too. Nice to have options.
F Faux.
If I want to watch any FOX shows, I just go to Youtube and search for FOX News and set the filter to display results by upload date, while the show is still on, or shortly after it goes off.
That way, I can usually pick out the exact segments/guests that are worth watching, while allowing me to skip the ones I don’t care about, plus skip all the commercials.
Added benefits are I don’t get counted as a possible watcher by the cable company etc, and burn a lot of Google’s bandwidth for free.
Thanks for the tips. If I cancel Comcast, it’s nice to know youtube is an option.
I still want to be able to watch Food Network. I really like to watch cooking competition shows.
Translation: “I’m weak and fumbly, so I have no choice but continue to watch and fund evil.”
Is it such an insurmountable sacrifice to forgo a fkn TV STATION?
Some of you are truly pathetic.
I didn’t post it and I thought the same thing.
:)
I just started watching it and there’s a guy that has an evening show and he gets highly ticked and sarcastic about all of this.
I like that guy.
:)
I saw Spicer show and only watched a couple of minutes. He was terrible.
Get Philo. It is only $20 a month and has Food and Cooking channel and no Fox, CNn, Msnbc.
She said that media is incredibly biased and has gone into advocacy and opinion rather than presenting of hard facts. I told her I agreed and asked her what media she felt were biased. She said she has given up totally on CNN as it is totally anti-Trump. I said that has been true since way before Trump when it was called the Clinton News Network.
I then asked what media she felt was biased in the other direction. I expected her to say Fox News. She didn't, she just said those that support Trump. I asked specifically which were those media organizations. She couldn't give me an answer. I pressed more as to how to recognize right wing mead. Her answer was any that support Trump.
My wife has a BA, MA, and doctorate. She is well “educated” in a certain sense and I feel she does speak for many liberals. Even she no longer recognizes Fox news as a media source.
And in case you ask why I am married to her? Well, when she puts her mind and body into it she is fantastic in bed. She also likes to teach me how to spend all the money I made on trips and luxury items.
We definitely prefer OAN, too.
I did too until we switched from Direct to Dish tv and no longer get OANN. Alao, I really liked Graham Ledger and Liz Wheeler. They both left.
I like OAN, and every time I think of them, I am reminded of the cowardly Oklahoma State football coach who was seen in an OAN shirt, and then begged for an forgiveness after his star player said OAN was racist and he wouldn’t play for a racist team. The coach always portrays himself as a tough guy, and now we see he is a sniveling wimp.
Remember, all conservative news sites are automatically racist now.
That fits for 99.9 of news channels.
