One way of determining fraud in mail-in ballots would be to examine a random sample of a few thousand to find the rate of fraud. If fraud rate is low, voters may be convinced of the election’s legitimacy. If the fraud rate is high, then every mail-in ballot should be examined.

The level of fraud clearly affected over a million votes.
I will consider.
The Republican majority legislatures in contestable states need to ensure that electors cast their votes for the man who won the election, The Real President, Trump.
Make it a sample of 4AM votes!!

I think this is risky... I suspect that unless all these ballots have been put in a pot and stirred real well, they likely will not provide samples that are representative. What I mean is that its possible that a random selection might come from a truly corrupt area and oversample the corruption or they might have come from an area that isn’t corrupted at all in which case it will be undersampling.

No!! A random sample would include ILLEGAL ballots. They’ve been co-mingled with legal ones. There is no way in hell to identify which ballots are fraudulent.
Completely exclude every precinct where the identifying protocols stipulated by law were defied. Where dead folks voted. Where postmarks were backdated. Where Dominion software was used. Where ballots showed up in big Hefty bags instead of locked boxes. ALL of those precincts and/or counties — they’re OUT.
Maybe next time they’ll decide NOT to commit criminal acts.
It seems to me that if the fraud occurs upstream (ballots from people who shouldn’t be voting), AND if the ballots are comingled after counting, becoming anonymous, that it would be very hard to see much fraud.
The fraud occurs in two places... upstream by counterfeiting ballots, vote harvesting, or fake mail in ballot requests for addresses that are no longer correct...
and secondly, downstream of the counting, when the votes are tabulated. (”Dominion.” And, Stain’s “...what matters is who counts the votes.”)

At least apportion the electors by district winner. Its only fair that fraud in Detroit cancel everyone else in Michigan’s vote.

Do we know what happens in PA? I had heard that ballots need to be kept for 3 years.....not sure though if this was PA.
Do any states require keeping envelopes? I would think this would be critical if looking at postal stamps...
How does one obtain a “random” sample of mail-in ballots? The fraud may not be randomly distributed. In fact, I doubt that it is.
Who do you trust to come up with the random sample?
Not sure it is a good idea, if they threw away 2/3 of the Trump votes that came in.
And the MSM and pollsters all said all along that it would be the Biden votes coming in mail-in, due to GOP voters prefer to go to the polls.
With COVID-19, that might not play out as true, but I am not confident of random sampling, either.
Maybe they need to actually LOOK at a random sampling of thousands of mail-in ballots to see if the signatures match, if the voters are registered, if they are real ballots and not some photocopies, if the voted in the down-ballot contests, etc.
Then they violated Justice Alito’s command to separate those late ballots. This behavior cannot go unpunished or the USSC will be considered to be a toothless entity.
