I don't advocate praying to saints. Other than that this is very important and good.

I DO advocate being informed about on what one opines.

No one prays to the saints. I can assure you.

I do, and so do every Orthodox and (Roman) Catholic Christian.

We ask each other (who are among the minority of those who happen to be alive) to pray for each other and all that "intercessory prayer".

Why should we not ask those who are closer to Throne of God to offer intercessions on our behalf?

Surely you will quote "there is but one Mediator between God and men"....so then, are you going to cancel your "prayer circles" and stop asking others among the living to pray for you and for others?

A mediator is NOT the same as an intercessor!

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“The Catholic doctrine of intercession and invocation was set forth by the Council of Trent, which teaches that “...the saints who reign together with Christ offer up their own prayers to God for men.”

Nobody prays to the saints: we ask for their intercession for us with Christ. and God the Father.

For what it is worth, this ex-Catholic Protestant has been praying to St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost things, for over 60 years, and he has never failed to help.

This ex Protestant Catholic began asking the Holy Mother to intercede on several matters (I was desperate Protestant) and was amazed and forever changed at the incredible results.

I am wondering how one gives up the Eucharist, history, theology, tradition, Mass for Protestant faith? Not being sarcastic, truly curious
