Now late this afternoon North Carolina announced they will not announce their results until next week.

How can this be legal? Can they really hold the electoral process hostage like this? Any state can just chose to count votes when they want?

Does the NC allow for the delay? Does the US Constitution allow for this delay?
I think normally the Secretary of State for that state is required to certify the election after x days. This would seem to be pushing it.
To me it’s just beginning to get laughable.

Federal law contains a deadline for states to certify the winners of electoral votes, but I think that deadline is in December.
Interesting how California, Oregon and Washington, once the polls closed, immediately said Biden won their states, but the South East Coast, which closed several hours earlier, still have not declared a winner.
Why? Because we the people have taken to not standing up to them. Our lives are busy, we say. We don’t want to seem like troublemakers, we tell ourselves. We don’t want to risk our jobs and our security, while these who do evil in our country continue on unscathed by the very people who should be standing up to them.
To prevent Trump from declaring victory under any circumstance. Once Biden gets NV tomorrow he will claim victory.

When Dems take to the streets they know with 100% certainty that their political leaders and corporate media will support them. Can we say the same? No. So I can see why so many think twice about sticking our necks out while we are outflanked.
