Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker issued a new stay-at-home advisory Monday asking all residents to be in their homes from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily and ordered restaurants to stop table service at 9:30 p.m. to ensure customers can get home in time.
The stay-at-home advisory takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday. The state allows exceptions for going to work, seeking medical care, going to the grocery store and picking up take-out food.
Were doing much better than many other states and many other countries, but hereto weve let down our guard, he said.
The curfew also applies to all gatherings under a gatherings order that accompanies the stay-at-home advisory. The state is limiting private gatherings to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. The limit on gatherings held in public spaces, such as weddings, remains the same.
Those who violate the gatherings order face a fine of $500 per infraction.
Businesses that sell alcohol that violate the gatherings order, including hosting large gatherings after hours, could face a fine and could get their license suspended, revoked or canceled.
The state also issued an expanded mask mandate, which requires people to wear masks even if they are 6 feet away from others. Like the other restrictions, the mandate takes effect Friday.

And now mandated face diapers even if 50 ft away from someone else.
What if they shut down the polling places tomorrow?
Where is the “scientific evidence” that the virus is more transmittable and deadly after a certain time of day?
How long are the people of MA going to take this tyrannical cr@p?????
Ummm... that can only be a good thing. So glad I got out of that shite hole.
Utter madness.

Massachusetts people like being herded around like sheep. Makes them think of high school, which is where most of them stopped growing up.
Democrat dictators in blue states impose MORE restrictions on citizens, and order police to stand down (also defunded), while rioters burn , loot, and terrorize them, and destroy their jobs/businesses.
Tell us again how Democrats are for the little guy, and how much they "care". 😒
A buddy drove through Lexington, MA within the week. He told me that it seemed every fourth or fifth house had BLM signs on lawns. In addition to the overwhelming Biden and other liberal signs. Lexington is 1.55 black per research. Liberalism is a mental disease and/or disorder.
Just a guess: Bath houses exempt?
Yeah, and misery loves company.
Massachusetts is to the left of the left of Ocasio-Cortez. Many people here dont like it, but a majority would consider this a perfectly reasonable step on Bakers part. Baker, despite having an (R) next to his name, is to the left of many democrats nationally.
I absolutely despise Baker.
Hey, it’s better than the alternative! /sarcasm
On the anniversary of the A-Bomb dropping on Hiroshima a group of Buddhist monks in orange robes, with little gongs and windchimes, would march to the MinuteMan statue and make reparation for the bombing...These monks, both times I saw them, were all pasty white hippies with ponytails.
I drove through the more conservative county in the state (Plymouth, which Clinton still won commandingly) last week, and same as Lexington a Biden-Harris and BLM sign on nearly every other lawn.
Betcha cuomo wishes he had thought of that.
And I thought his draconian measures were bad.
This is going to drive up the Trump Vote.
Amazing the number of Karen’s who support these lock downs, isn’t it?
I saw that something like 80++% of UK supports their new lockdowns.
Unreal.

This is not correct————he is ordering the businesses to close early, not ordering people to be in their homes.
MassLive is often incorrect.
