To any pearl-clutchers around here, I have a simple question.
If this was a Biden crowd, wouldn’t all of us be very concerned that Biden might win.
You betcha!
Why?
Because all of us know deep in our bones that enthusiasm matters, that if a candidates supporters are willing to turn out for a candidate, they are willing to work for that candidate, get their friends and family to vote for the candidate.
If the other candidate is hiding in the basement, gets almost no-one appearing at rallies, and scares them with talk about how dangerous CV is, what does that tell you?
Analyzing politics does require some number crunching, but just good old fashioned common sense is more important.

12-15 people attend Biden’s in-person speeches.
Harris’ events are equally sparse - only 8-14 people, each carefully standing or siting in their circle.
Jill Biden attracts 6-10 people.
Obama’s Philadelphia rally was bigger: It had 15-20 people!
In car “rallies” the biggest gathering has been 140 cars. The usual 30-40 cars.
Just wondering...my dad was a PSU grad (1953). He got his nuclear engineering degree there. Dad’s uncle had season tickets to PSU football since 1930. My cousin has them now! Met JoePa a few times growing up, he was a friend of the family.

I recently saw the cringeworthy footage of Kamala Harris greeting the crowd in Texas. She was sooo unbelievably fake, but I’d like to see actual footage of THE CROWD. I never did see how many were there. Didn’t sound like much.
