Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald quit his job this morning. In a bizarre, ironic, and disturbing commentary on trends in modern media, the celebrated reporter was forced to resign after writing a story criticizing both the Biden campaign and intelligence community only to have it spiked by the editors of The Intercept, the news outlet he co-founded six years ago with the aim of preventing pretty much this exact situation.
The irony, Greenwald says, is that a media outlet I co-founded, and which was built on my name and my accomplishments, with the purpose of guaranteeing editorial independence, is now censoring me in the most egregious way about the leading presidential candidate, a week before the election.

We have yet to grasp just how truly evil Democrats have become.
“A key part of this propaganda campaign was the continual insistence that any criticism of the Democratic Party was, in essence, aid and comfort to our Red Enemy.” This explains the NEED to change the political party colors in the U.S. so that traditional conservatives could be more easily tarnished with the accusation of colluding with (formerly) communist Reds. After re-election PDJT might somehow fix this party color situation which actually still has an archetypal hold on Americans by mandating that the winning Republican party gets their color/flag back, which it has just held since the days of Lincoln, and originated in the coats of Washington’s Virginia blues.
Please dis-include me from the group you speak for. TY.
“...by mandating that the winning Republican party gets their color/flag back, which it has just held since the days of Lincoln, and originated in the coats of Washingtons Virginia blues.”
I would be thrilled if we reclaimed our colors. I hate being known as the red party. We adopted the color red because a left-wing television host displayed an election map with Republicans in red and Democrats in blue. Red has always been associated with the communist party. “Better dead than red” was a catchy slogan because it was true.
Which is why he's being censored. If he had written about Trump he would've celebrated by his editors.
These things have to stop all over this country. And it requires harsh retribution, or we are going to lose this country. If freedom of the press can be canceled, individual voices will dry up faster than water on a summer sidewalk.
The censorship is out of control.
I was watching Dr. Chris Martenson’s latest Youtube video. “the ugly truth”.
Everytime he said the word “hydroxychloquine”, youtube beeped it out. Eventually he referred to it as the medicine that must not be named and made up a name so he could talk about it.
Long, but very good reading.
Reading this reminds me of a work that is a bit out of favor here on FR: MANUFACTURING CONSENT by Herman and Chomsky
The first paragraph of the introduction:
THIS BOOK CENTERS IN WHAT WE CALL A “PROPAGANDA
model,” an analytical framework that attempts to explain the performance of the U.S. media in terms of the basic institutional structures and relationships within which they operate. It is our view that, among their other functions, the media serve, and propagandize on behalf of, the powerful societal interests that control and finance them. The representatives of these interests have important agendas and principles that they want to advance, and they are well-positioned to shape and constrain media policy. This is normally not accomplished by crude intervention, but by the selection of right-thinking personnel and by the editors’ and working journalists’ internalization of priorities and definitions of newsworthiness that conform to the institution’s policy.
FREE and you are giving nothing to Noam Chomsky.
