You can be as fiscally pure as you want - but if it means Trump loses on Nov 3 and the Dems take control, all your conservative wish list vanishes into fantasyland forever. That’s because the Dems will take permanent control - new states in the union, etc

The folks on Freerepublic who oppose stimulus also cheered when Romney said 47 percent of Americans mooched off the govt. that kind of thinking leads to what happened to Romney: defeat. Trump has a different philosophy - it’s why the GOPee hates him, but blue collar Dems have voted for him
