I want to play the part of an ‘honest’ reporter.
“I have it on good authority (not one but two anonymous sources) that each of the secret service members in the detail can not get COVID-19 because they have already had it. They are immune, they volunteered, and in fact they are plasma donors to help those who have severe cases.”
I mean, couldn’t you do this exact same story any time?
Remove the virus. Trump sees a crowd of supporters, and tells the SS — “Hey, I want to take a walk through there and greet them”.
We then get SS agents complaining about how “dangerous” it is for them, that they could get injured or killed having to walk the president through a crowd, that it’s just a political stunt and they don’t like risking their lives for political rallies and stunts”.
I realize that SS agents are not actually being killed defending the president, but have any of them died of COVID?
And how, being well-trained, are they catching covid while guarding the president? Shouldn’t they be staying away from people, so they don’t inadvertently catch COVID and give it to the president?
Is is possible an SS agent caught the virus, and spread it at that event on Saturday?
Similar to the ACB situation - enmedia hoping she would get COVID & derail the confirmation process .... until they found out she’d already had it over the summer.
Now, the “aghast” secret service members .... those with Trump have already had it & are plasma donors on top of it.

Let me get this straight. Secret Service agents are supposed to take a bullet for the president but these guys are whining that it’s too risky to be around a sick one? Does the detail get to pull out if Trump has the flu?
Yup, in theory, these agents have committed themselves risking their lives for the President. Furthermore, due to their age, they are at little risk of dying from the flu. Finally, if masks are so friggin wonderful, they are not even at risk. The entire Covid melodrama is tiring, and the numbers are pure fantasy.
Some doctor from Walter Reed went public saying it should never have happened. The press will have a field day with this. Expect a Biden commercial.
It’s not like he was leaving the hospital and his governor was putting him in a nursing home to finish his recovery.
He went for a 30 minute car ride with people who were already assigned to protect him.
They should be outed and offered a transfer to the Clinton duty. I hear she is a sweetheart.

I believe she was reassigned, but she should have been Fired.
They found a UNION rep...from one of the Uniformed divisions of the Secret Service. The Presidential detail officers are not, afai am able to determine, unionized. But Secret Service is under the DHS which has unionized elements. You know Government Employees Union-

You are right. But it is my understanding that firing a government worker is a very long drawn out process with a minimal chance of prevailing if challenged.
These morons make it sound as if the qualifications for being Secret Service agents are: minimum age of 75, diabetic, immunocompromised, and having chronic COPD.
Walmart is the largest employer in the country. If Walmart employees can brave working, I hope the Secret Service has the courage.
How insulting to the secret service people assigned to protect our/their president.
