Fox started it had a conservative fair coverage. Ratings took off, then to increase ratings further it has to expand its audience by heading toward the middle. Once all the conservatives had move to Fox for news and away from the CNNs and MSNBCs of the world. They have to move to the middle to increase market share.

But the progression of things is Newspaper, Radio, TV, Cable, now Internet is the future.

But then Fox had no real conservative competitors on cable.
Today, Fox has plenty of conservative competitors on both cable and online, starting with OAN and Newsmax TV, both of which are on cable and are actually really good, and for the most part better than Fox.
I like watching OAN far better than Fox right now. Fox's ratings will inevitably go down as the new conservative channels grab market share from them.
