WASHINGTON (AP) — Congressional leaders from both parties, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, swiftly pushed back Thursday after President Donald Trump declined to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the Nov. 3 presidential election.
Trump said during a Wednesday news conference, “We’re going to have to see what happens,” responding to a question about committing to the results. “You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster.”
McConnell and other leaders of Trump’s Republican Party had no hesitation in committing to an orderly transfer if Trump loses.
“The winner of the November 3rd election will be inaugurated on January 20th,” McConnell said in a tweet. “There will be an orderly transition just as there has been every four years since 1792.”

Sorry, I like Trump but he needs to shut up instead of going too far and giving his (our) opponents ammo. He always does this when he has a spate of good news, like the latest polls. He knew the “press” was going to spring this; and instead of implying it wouldn’t be peaceful, he should have said we will use all legal methods to contest theft of the election.
I see. Pelosi and the Rats can openly speak of military action if the results don’t go their way, yet the President cannot take a “wait and see” approach?

I think that is a gross mischaracterization.
I think the media wants Trump to concede immediately, based on (false) media reports of vote counting. Trump wants to be cautious and "see what happens". I have no problem with a careful approach. We know the Democrats are trying to steal this.

Setup for a question in the debates on whether he would concede if he loses etc. There was a similar question in the 2016 primaries.

We’ll have to wait and see. If it’s peaceful, it’s peaceful. If it’s not, it’s not.
Pelosi and McConnell can promise all they want, but they have no control over it at this point - the ballot harvesting will happen at the precinct level.

The question assumes he’s going to lose. Why would he accept that premise.
Stop buying into the MSMDNC coordinated “meme of the day”. They ran the same play at the debate in 2016. Within seconds all the major MSMDNC outlets had the exact same headline on their websites “Trump refuses to commit to accepting results of the election!!”
But it was the dems and their media bootlickers that didn’t accept the results. Recounts, sent the FBI to spy on Trump, Russia collusion hoax, ridiculous impeachment. 4 years later they still haven’t accept the results of the last election.
In fact HIllary, Harris and others telling Biden not to concede this election under any circumstances. Why isn’t he being asked the question? We know why.. they are setting up to steal the election with mail fraud and they need time after Nov 3 to fabricate the fake votes.
Based on what the Deep State did to Trump in 2016 its not at all clear that there will be an orderly transition of power. they will continue to resist him in every way possible.
Our country is in serious political turmoil with violence, riots and anarchy like we’ve never seen before. There is no telling what will happen.
