Trump denied Sunday a report he seriously proposed he be added to Mount Rushmore, but indicated he thought it was a good idea.
This is Fake News by the failing New York Times and bad ratings CNN, Trump wrote on social media. Never suggested it although, based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!
The New York Times reported on Sunday the White House reached out to South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem in 2018 about adding additional presidents to Mount Rushmore.
Mount Rushmore is a federal monument, not a state monument.
Noem, the report added, gave the president a four-foot sculpture of the monument with his face added to the mountain, when he visited in July.

If the USA does not survive, none of the countenances on Mount Rushmore will survive either.
I’m not really in favor of doing it. I just want my commie congressman to think so.
It was me, my wife and our 10 lb dog...and I think we crossed half of the states during this longest drive in USA.
The worst rest areas were in Illinois.
“Critics of President Obama are setting their sights this week on the official White House Christmas tree, which features controversial ornaments including an orb depicting the late Chinese dictator, another that shows drag queen Hedda Lettuce, and yet another that shows a picture of Mount Rushmore — with Obama’s head pasted to the side of Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt’s.”

Good to hear it’s worth seeing. Can you describe your feeling. What impressed you? The size of the sculpture. Can you get up close?
Thanks.
I'm surprised it didn't draw more outrage.
The thing which impressed me the most is the artistry on a such a large scale carved out on the side of a rocky cliff. The artistry is evident because the faces of presidents are so recognizable.
It is one thing to chisel out a life size statue. Quite another to chisel out on the same on a cliff.
Interesting. And the workers who “carved” did not have the vantage point to know if the small part they were working on was being done correctly enough — no feedback mechanism.
So it’s a great engineering achievement, like the Panama Canal.
