The CDC has already been recommending people wear some kind of eye covering, but neither the CDC nor Dr. Fauci has pushed wearing goggles because they are not as easily available as face masks.
Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, recommended the use of face shields in addition to masks.
“The mask protects others, to block those droplets and block that contamination that happens when you speak or sing or talk, or even breathe,” Birx said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday morning.
“The thing about the face shields — we think that could protect the individuals and that it would decrease the ability for them to touch their eyes and spread the virus as well as those droplets coming towards them. So there are two different technologies for two different reasons.”

This is pure fear-mongering. The virus floats in air and will go right up under a face shield. Just stay out of large crowds inside buildings. That is why Walmart and other stores keep track of the number of people in the store at all times. If you are outside, especially in warm weather, the viruses float straight up-hot air rises and cold air sinks. If the outside temp reaches our body temp, viruses will hang in your airspace.
Just got to watch out for that Russian submarine. It’s a little too close.

I am seeing numbers drop in Alabama. No conselation for the folks who died or have permanent issues due to the infection. With this and the impending vaccines and theraputics, I say let’s just roll the dice.
Assisted living and lab workers are required to wear BOTH mask and shield in Some Oregon places.
I can just see a big fat dude stuck in the middle seat with two people on the sides wearing those.
On average 37k Americans die from the seasonal influenza every year. Is their any consolation for their loved ones?
Life is filled with hazards. We don’t shut down everyone’s lives and throw them into poverty, depression and anxiety in order to save an unknown number of people from catching the flu.

I unscrew my eyes and put them in my pocket before entering the store.
I would put people working in assisted living and as lab workers in a bit different category than average people doing average jobs and going shopping etc.
In fact I’m pretty sure lab workers had to abide by a set of protective protocols prior to this China Flu madness.
Given their experiences, I understand it. Nursing homes are a good place to use belt-and-suspenders.
Last night,I encountered my first nut at Walmart.
Only two checkout lines were open, so I hurried to get behind a woman who didn’t have many items. I thought I got lucky. Wrong.
The first thing I noticed was that, not only was she wearing a mask, she was also wearing a face shield and gloves. She looked ridiculous.
Then she had the nerve to ask the (masked) cashier if she had Covid. After that idiotic question, she ordered the cashier to follow her to the next aisle, where the cigarettes were located. The deranged Karen proceeded to waste almost 30 minutes to choose approximately One Hundred Dollars worth of cigarettes.
The longer it took to make up her mind, the angrier I became. A couple of times I remarked, in a voice loud enough for her to hear, how funny it was that she was so paranoid over Covid, but wasn’t worried about her smoking habit.
Normally, I don’t do things like that, but the Karen’s hypocrisy and rudeness had me steamed. The cashier was grinning approvingly at me.
Face mask, face shield, gloves, asking if the cashier had Covid and proceeded to purchase a boatload of Cigarettes. You really can’t make this stuff up.
Eff the lot of you. I went into Walmart this afternoon, and the greeter there - of obviously questionable intellect from visual inspection - was standing there with a face shield on, smiling like some dope-addled inbred, oblivious to the fact that she was some wind-up pawn in this whole chess game. This was after I went to see my doctor, who wasn’t even wearing his lab coat much less his mask, and told me to take mine off. He ws only requiring them superficially to keep up appearances. These are hanging offenses, people. Sedition, treason, crimes against humanity. And the ones who could bring this to a screeching halt but won’t are equally as culpable, left or right. Let the guns sound off.

The other day while walking/jogging, I noticed an employee on a break outside with his mask on. Every 20 seconds or so, he would tug the mask down and puff on his CIGARETTE.
The dude afraid of the virus while sitting all by himself outside, but doesn’t fear the cancerous toxins he inhales...
Also the mask is truly not to protect us, they say as much. They basically want us wearing them to protect others. Insinuating that we are assumed sick with Covid.
Had it with their Nazi tactics.
