President Trump announced from the White House Thursday afternoon the RNC convention in Jacksonville has been canceled.
Citing the ongoing battle against Wuhan coronavirus, President Trump said it is his duty to protect the American people and the timing of the event isn't going to work.
The announcement comes after the Republican National Committee moved the convention from Charlotte, North Carolina to Jacksonville in June because of ongoing reopening restrictions.

I’m in Jacksonville too and I’ve been watching this all unfold...I had volunteered to work at the convention...but I was pretty sure even then that the RINOs would manage to stop it. I think that was what the sudden mask order was all about...the first shot.
