I’m trying to see Civil War battlefields before they undergo what is certainly coming - either the bulldozer or a complete “re-imagining” of the event. As a decades-long student of American history, I just want to see the actual HISTORY before it is sent to oblivion. The history erasure is so Maoist.
Perhaps finally NOW the Battle of Gettysburg can secure victory in the War of Northern Aggression, and the Confederates can keep their slaves!
I will admit to loving the Beverly Hillbillies’ recreation of the Civil War.
Have you seen Vicksburg? It is as moving as Gettysburg.
