...Chinese authorities found more than 13 tons of gold stashed away in the basement of a former mayor’s home during a corruption investigation, according to news reports.
Police found the loot — worth hundreds of millions of dollars — in a secret cellar in the home of Zhang Qi, a onetime high ranking communist party official and former mayor of Danzhou, the Pakistani newspaper The News International reported.
And it wasn’t only gold — police also seized more than $37 billion in cash and assets, the paper said....

Of course in all of Travis County you have only had 93 deaths from Coronavirus in the past several months. We had that many in King County where we live before the end of March. The deaths in Travis County peaked weeks ago. So grow up or share your BS with people who won't look it up.
My wife is a retired nurse and department head at multi-level skilled facilities. And I with my crews transported sick people with contagious pathogens to the hospital for 25 years. We both volunteered and were paid for work we did over the years at the Life Care Center in Kirkland Washington. If you know your coronavirus history... that was the first place in this country to have deaths.
Everywhere my wife worked I volunteered. The most important thing that could be done each year was to make sure that the residents and patients got their flu shots. If they didn't, we sometimes lost dozens in bad years.
11 people on the fire department that I retired from tested positive back in March. Two weeks later they all tested negative. Only 1 developed symptoms... they were from his seasonal allergies.
The reason you now have “more cases” is because you have more testing going on. Most people who had it around here had no symptoms and those who did could not get tested anyway. You should probably keep your wildly exaggerated fear mongering to yourself. It is not backed by anything other than nonsense from slanted sources and your own confirmation bias.

Using the median of the models, there will be 130k dead by the end of June. I’d guess around 135,000 as I lean towards the “deadlier” models.
I am glad that you are getting so much entertainment out of the misery of others. I hate to break it to you but the numbers you are so fixated on have been shown to be greatly exaggerated.
My wife’s brother died this year. He had brain cancer and was on hospice care. He was counted as a “presumptive” covid-19 death by CDC guidelines. We were having a bad flu season this year in King County, WA just as you were in Travis County. Miraculously after they started tallying coronavirus deaths we and you basically stopped having flu deaths. Look it up. Our governor and his health department numbers were shown to be over reported by at least 20%.
I must apologize. Despite living in the first hotspot in the country or maybe because of it, my BS meter has been pegged out for months now. Normally, I could put up with hysterical idiots driving around town alone in their cars while wearing masks and goggles, or walking, jogging or bicycling alone outside with the same type of gear.
If normal seasonal flu was counted the same way that our government and media is counting Covid we would be hitting half a million deaths in this country basically every year. It has run its course where we live... the vast majority here do not know anyone who was confirmed to have been sick with it, let alone died. So as I said previously, peddle your hysteria somewhere else, people here have had their fill around here.

The covid death count is likely under counted, probably by a large degree. (WSJ article: https://www.wsj.com/articles/most-countries-fail-to-capture-extent-of-covid-19-deaths-11590658200).
Basically, the article graphs out “predicted deaths” based on previous years average, covid deaths and total actual deaths. Actual deaths greatly exceed predicted+covid numbers.
Total deaths are way above predicted. Now some of that is because people who should have gone to the ER (heart issues, for example), didn’t go to the ER because of the pandemic. But that is likely a small part of the delta. An under count of covid cases is the cause of the discrepancy.

And don’t forget that a lot of the tests happening now are for antibodies, which detect PRIOR infection, not current. Which means those are the people that had it during the peak period or earlier and weren’t even aware of it.
