We bought a place in North Idaho three years ago. Keeping the California place for now, but may rent it out for a while. I’m in California right now due to family reasons, but my wife grabbed the dog and bugged out to Idaho the day the COVID lock-down of Santa Clara County started. She was going to go for a week of skiing, but her office shut down and started remote working, so she suddenly had the freedom to go. She says she’s never coming back to CA! (and she was born and raised here in the Bay Area).

If I lived anywhere near LA, I’d be moving out. Come to think about it, if I lived in California I’d be moving out.
If you think a police officer only costs a $100,000 on average in LA you aren’t adding right, there’s overtime and benefits. Hell years ago I knew LA officers that were bringing down $150,000 and that didn’t count security work they did on the side.

Let the blacks police themselves. That will work out real well, I’m sure. The Minneapolis Parks Department are severing their relationship with the Minneapolis Police. That means criminals know that they will only face the Park Police, so you expect that the hundreds of Minneapolis parks will become hell holes or open drug abuse, violence, and other crimes.
I mean what could possibly go wrong with $150 million less in policing in a city/county like LA?
Well I am sure that when crime rates start to climb, they will blame the police department not not doing the job, it use to do.
