COLUMBUS, Ohio—Protesters unhappy with Ohio’s social-distancing restrictions could be heard in the background during Gov. Mike DeWine’s daily briefing Thursday at the Ohio Statehouse.

(snip)

Some protesters said they are worried about how many Ohioans are out of work because of the DeWine administration’s “stay-at-home" order, as well as similar directives closing “non-essential” businesses and banning mass gatherings. (The statewide order banning mass gatherings specifically exempted First Amendment demonstrations).

(snip)

The protesters didn’t identify themselves. Multiple demonstrators said they were not with an organized group, though some appeared to be associated with a religious group, as they were carrying a cross.

This is why Trump is leaving it up to the governors. Red state governors will open earlier, and blue state governors will have riots on their hands. It’s also why the press is demanding Trump initiate a national policy, so they can blame him for opening too early/too late.

Future trolling by our president?

I know it’s a patchwork bandage, but predict that the cares act and the SBA loans and everything else that they put into effect is going to be more effective as a bridge than you probably do.

They just need to get things moving ASAP.

Will we be back to <5% unemployment by July? No
Will be be back to a 29K Dow Jones by June? No
You can blame Cuomo and DiBlasio for that.

But can Ohio win the race to getting it’s economy back on it’s feet before most of the rest of the country? Yes. If they want to.

I think it’s time to start.

I live in Ohio and the liquor stores are starting to empty out and most of my friends and family have lost patients with the lies and deception of the data and models.

These models were exaggerated for this power grab of our rights. Amy Acton was once a homeless bum and she is trying to make us all homeless.

DeWine is an empty suit who is infatuated lab coat Amy and he is good fiends with Kasich. The battle cry in Ohio is DeWine is one and done!

What would be the closest thing to a governor in 40s Germany?

Something longwinded and hard to pronounce?

The closest thing to an American-style governor in Nazi Germany would be a Reichsstatthalter (Reich state governor), the chief executive of a German state such as Bavaria. The term antedated the Nazi regime. But there were also two types of governors of occupied territories.

After they overran Poland, they set up a military regime over much of the country that they called the Gouvernement-Général or general government, which was ruled by Generalgouverneur, or general governor. Elsewhere, they set up territorial administrations that they called Reichskommissariate (Reich commissions) that were administerd by a Reichskommissar (Reich commissioner).

I held my nose when I voted for DeWine, not much of choice in Ohio between a Demorat and Rino. We need to primary DeWine.

So it begins. I support these people. Shutting down the economy is NOT the answer. Let my people go.

Oh yeah,if you want to see anger and resentment turn to rage, tell them how the Kennedy Center got millions of the 2 Trillion bailout while they’re struggling to feed their kids and keep a roof over their heads. This is not going to end well.

You are so right, none of my friends know of nobody that is sick with this virus. We have a lot of cow crap in the farms in Ohio by the crap in Columbus is 100x.

Columbus is the swamp of the buckeye state.

I feel bad for the bartenders, waitresses, owners and employees that have lost their jobs. The poor retirees have no place to socialize I see many just walking the streets aimless bored to death.

Amy also said that 10,000 cases a day was to be expected. We need to make a list of these ridiculous claims.

So far 5500 total cases and 200 deaths. 16 million people live in Ohio.

I live in a seaside resort town and the mayor and county judge just literally cut our throat. I’m looking for a portable megaphone system (Like an ice cream truck.) to drive through the neighborhoods naming names of those responsible. Yeah, buddy. It’s personal now.

In theory, DeWine is a Republican.

What's his take on abortion and gay rights/gender identity?
