President Trump states that he intends to issue county by county instructions to all 50 states based upon data gathered since the outbreak and Dem Cuomo days later comes out and basically restates the same thing.
The Media hammers Trump for saying those things. The media praises Dems for restating positions President Trump has already stated.

Carlson criticized New York City health commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot, among others, who dismissed the incoming threat of the coronavirus in February.
“The risk to New Yorkers from coronavirus is low and ... our preparedness as a city is very high,” Barbot said at a Feb. 2 press conference supporting the Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade and Festival. “There is no reason not to take the subway, not to take a bus, not to go out to your favorite restaurant and certainly not to miss the parade next Sunday [Feb. 9].”
It was inevitable that the same people quarantined together would expose each other. So, it happened quicker. Just get this over with.

The use of quarantines works if you isolate populations early in the outbreak to prevent mixing and spread of the virus. In New York’s case, they were receiving travelers from China and Italy long after those areas became hotspots and thus seeded their own population with the virus. The Trump travel ban wasn’t until January and the virus was well established asymptomatically in New York by that time.
Watching the media narrative emerge it is clear what the next hoax will be. The strategy is to blame Trump for the medical chaos that is emerging in blue states and cities due to the incompetence of the local officials to take action. They are political hacks and lack the management skills to mount an effective plan. They have also squandered budgets for years due to massive corruption that has depleted their ability to meet public needs.
They used this narrative against Bush with Katrina and they are dusting it off for Trump on a national scale.
In the absence of an effective safe vaccine and ignorance about the genetic susceptibility to this pathogen, the best a quarantine can do is flatten the curve a bit. As soon as people venture forth the over all infection rate and the percentage of people becoming seriously ill and dying will remain the same. It makes sense to flatten the curve so as not to overwhelm the strained health care system. However the total number of deaths without effective treatments will remain the same. Some are making a valid argument that if a prolonged quarantine results in economic decline, the poverty, social and political unrest have its own associated mortality rate independent of the direct effect of the virus.
It is vitally important, however politically incorrect, to properly identify those who have a genetic susceptibility to this virus and to understand just what underlying medical conditions, habits and circumstances contribute to that susceptibility and the development of serious illness.
Maybe he's getting some education.

Note that only 1/3 of the people tested are confirmed to have Covid 19. This is in line with what they are seeing in Houston. I have not seen results for other areas. That is not a very high positive rate considering the test is only done on those that are exhibiting symptoms. Is it possible that there is more smoke than fire? I don’t have access to enough data to say, only enough to ask the question.

If outside and encountering someone with sniffles, sneezes, or otherwise looking infected with a contagious illness that you want to speak to, try to stand with the wind at your back if speaking with them. If you are contagious stand downwind.
Investigate sanitizing circulated air in nursing homes, office, etc. using UV chambers.
Do not overeat, and if you are obese and our in poor health due to lack of exercise that you could have engaged in, and abuse of body, and need to be hospitalized, must sure you take at least some of the blame.
