Exactly what has Dr.Fauci done, in the particular instance of the Chinese Virus, that angers so many people here?
For all that he may be - or have been - a somewhat political creature. he’s a competent scientist, and all he has done in the current instance is to try and clarify the science for us.
President Trump is a great optimist, manager, leader, for which I applaud him, and thank God.
But Dr. Fauci was just trying to explain the actual science side of things. You can’t just throw a drug at people, without having some reliable evidence of whether it is effective and safe for the particular disease you are trying to treat.
You know, not everything is always ‘political’.
The problem is that his politics overshadows his scientific judgement. It has been obvious for some time. It happens to a lot of scientists, and it is always a bad thing, whichever political direction that person leans.
A quinine based drug similar to chlroquine was used a thousand times on ME whenever I was sick with flu or malaria in India, when I was a kid. And now I will be 80 next month and still kicking azz. It is very effective and left no bad long lasting effects on me. But it is very bitter to taste.

There is evidence being presented EVERYWHERE that the combination of HCD and the anti-bacterial Azir both of which have years of documented use are THE MOST effective drug combo on record and yet, when our President mentions this fact, this ass clown shoots it down in front of the anti-Trump American media.
This, despite the fact that various American Universities are backing up French, South Korean and other countries reports of seriously ill near-death patients gaining FULL RECOVERY with the application of this duo of well-established drugs.

Why didn't Fauci reach out to Professor Didier Raoult in France, nor believe US researchers in regards to safety / effectiveness? That information is out there. I know Fauci's type, rigid stay within the system., only believes his own lying eyes. This Virus is getting bad, time for doers, out of the box thinkers whom are willing to take risks as thing need to happen now, not after months of testing to cya.

Actually, you can - and should, if the people are dying. What we cannot afford now id an FDA-approved, 12 year study of a drug with known risks and safety. It may or may not prove to be effective, but preliminary results are good and we have people dying.
