Yes, but this is even worse than “stop and frisk”. With that policy, police might harass black guys more often, but if a white guy pulled out a gun and shot someone, the police would still arrest him too.

What’s happening politically is like if the police were frisking all the black guys while a bunch of white guys were across the street robbing, looting, and shooting people with impunity.

Government has rigged the game so that:
Government lies to the public = legal.
Public lies to the government = illegal.

I’ve been asking the same questions. It was interesting that Barr himself didn’t make the announcement that McCabe skates. It was made by a couple of lower-level people I’ve never heard of. You’d think something as explosive and contentious as this would be handled by Barr himself.

Another poster yesterday made an excellent point. Nothing will happen until the Washington DC District Court is abolished. There are 6.1 million people in the Washington DC metro area and they all depend, directly or indirectly, on the fed gov for their livelihoods. You simply cannot get a Grand Jury or a courtroom jury around Washington DC that will find these government criminals guilty of anything.

Barr may be an ass as you say BUT POTUS appointed him? Does The Donald not see the harm that is being done by Barr? And POTUS. can put Barr out to pasture in a heartbeat!

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I appreciate your points and realize that relocating DOJ, etc. outside the Swamp is unlikey. Too many special interests against it.

The problem with our so-called justice system being planted in the nation’s capitol is its proximity (if not immersion) to the vortex of myriad corrosive political influences and business interests that infest Washington. Trust me, they all know how to manipulate the levers of power, and that includes working inside the judicial system. Unfortunately, the Revolving Door is very much alive and well in DC.

In DC money and favors lubricate the political machinery and perpetuate power bases. Relocating DOJ won’t end the partisan malfeasance and purify the judicial process but getting away from the swirl of corruption inside the DC Beltway would go a long way toward taking the problem of power lunches out of the equation.

When something is obviously not working it is often beneficial to start lokking at potential solutions that are outside the box that is part of problem itself.
