Hard to say what fired and now former National Security Advisor John Bolton is up to these days now that the Senate impeachment trial is on.

The latest news is here on the front page of the New York Times, reporting an anonymous "leak":

WASHINGTON — President Trump told his national security adviser in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton.

The president’s statement as described by Mr. Bolton could undercut a key element of his impeachment defense: that the holdup in aid was separate from Mr. Trump’s requests that Ukraine announce investigations into his perceived enemies, including former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter Biden, who had worked for a Ukrainian energy firm while his father was in office.

Mr. Bolton’s explosive account of the matter at the center of Mr. Trump’s impeachment trial, the third in American history, was included in drafts of a manuscript he has circulated in recent weeks to close associates. 

Bolton says the leak didn't come from him, but the deep staters reviewing his book for disclosure of secrets. One of them.

Back in the White House, the Trumpsters are calling bee ess, while Trump himself has tweeted it "NEVER" happened. The White House has noted the curious timing of the leaks which coincide with the opening of his advance books sales on Amazon.

Here’s my take ( and I’ve said it time and again ): EVEN IF THE AID WAS *NOT* DELIVERED ON THE CONDITION OF UKRAINE’s RE-STARTING THE INVESTIGATION ON THE BIDEN DEAL, IT WOULD STILL BE A LEGITIMATE ACT.

The facts are:

1) Ukraine is a corrupt country that tended to misuse foreign aid.

2) The previous administration was corrupt.

3) Burisma had influence in the Ukrainian government and WANTED to influence American politics to get a good business deal

4) Joe Biden threatened to withhold foreign aid then UNLESS Ukraine fired the person investigating Burisma to which his son, Hunter was being paid between $50,000 to $80,000 a month for a “job” he was not qualified for.

The threat WORKED. The investigator was fired and the aid released.

Those facts alone REQUIRED an investigation and threatening to withhold aid UNLESS the previously canceled investigation was resumed is a legitimate exercise of the Presidential office, which is — to withhold aid money until possible corruption is investigated.

The fact that Biden is running for office and such an in Investigation will benefit Trump is IRRELEVANT.

The issue is and has always been this — DID BIDEN USE HIS OFFICE TO MAKE A CORRUPT DEAL? If the answer is yes, then Trump is obligated to have this investigated.

There is NOTHING to apologize for.

Funny how the democrats seem to always come up with a leaked piece of information they really need to go forward with their actions just at the last min... Just Bolden’s opinion. Pierre Delicto is now saying HE wants to hear from Bolton...up yours a**hole..However, it might be good to allow Bolton and then call a host of Defense witnesses, such as the Biden Klan, the Whistleblower, the IG that authorized it, and about 10 other witnesses, and of course, all of the hidden transcripts of the secret testimony that Schiff hasn’t released..
