Its amazing that some people seem willing to accept the idea of legitimizing and dignifying complete, in-your-face, utter nonsense. It’s a tribute, in a perverse way, to the Democrats for getting away with pushing such an absurd circus and having the Republican controlled senate actually treat it in a serious manner.
Its really stunning to see complete garbage treated with such reverence and credibility. Its no wonder that people hold the congress in such abysmally low regard.
If I was Mitch, then I would be responsible for the leadership of getting a record number of Federal and Appellate judges pushed through the Senate confirmation process, along with fighting and winning two major battles for Supreme Court justices.

You just whine about always wanting 100% victory against the 'rats. That doesn't fly in the Senate. I wish it did - but we should be thankful for at least a majority (although there are some squishy ones).
Put the handkerchief away, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the Demon-rats heaping coals onto their own heads. One can't purchase this kind of advertising in support of the Republicans.

Agree. The GOP Senate have validated every bit of Schiff’s Stalinist show trial and have dumped defense entirely onto POTUS. Contrast that to Democrats marching over to the Clinton WH and holding a party the day he was impeached.
I would not have a problem with the GOP Senate just ignoring this Democrat impeachment trial nonsense if they had spent the past 3 months substantively engaging this coupist operation. Sadly, they have not and are now AWOL again.
If the GOP had grounds to convict POTUS they would do it in a heartbeat. Of that I have no doutbt. There inaction makes it abundantly clear how much they hate POTUS and wish him defeated in 2020.
