COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee Tech University student was placed in isolation after presenting mild symptoms of the Coronavirus.
In a social media post released Thursday evening, the university said the student had recently traveled overseas and met the criteria for testing. The student was placed in isolation as a precautionary measure.
The school said they have not confirmed that the student has the Coronavirus.
Tennessee Tech and the doctors at the school have been in constant contact with both the Tennessee Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
Tennessee Tech is located in Cookeville, which is about an hour east of Nashville.

I believe nothing from China. We will need to gather our own data.
First, classes only started Tuesday, so she hasn’t had much interaction. Second, she has classes 4 days a week and two of them are off campus.

There are 2 cases stateside, on the other side of the globe, but 34 cases in Beijing? There's something wrong with the data being disseminated.
With a 2 week incubation cycle, this will be big news next week. With every infected person, expect 10 new cases in 2 weeks. This will grow exponentially in the next few weeks. What we don’t know is the true mortality rate. China is claiming 2-3%.
Even China doesn’t cancel Lunar New Year festivities for only a 2-3% mortality...
