The Ukrainians knew the score — "they're not stupid," Schiff said — and he left unspoken his thoughts on the intellectual capacity of senators who couldn't or wouldn't perform the same addition with the facts in front of them.
And yet Schiff and his fellow House prosecutors also began to lay out labyrinthine details that punched home the thoroughness of the record against a president who appeared to have boasted earlier in the day that he is withholding more evidence from Congress and the public. It was the first time — and, because the prosecutors repeated the facts, the second, third and fourth times — that the full timeline had been presented, along with videotaped testimony from the House's investigation, from end to end.
The evidence was "overwhelming," Carol Lam, a former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California, said on NBC as the Senate broke for dinner Wednesday night.
The recitation of appendix-like particulars may have sounded arcane, but they were necessary to support the allegations in the two articles of impeachment the House approved last month.

This is cracking me up. I’ve been on the jury for two long technical trials (both went four weeks). In both cases, after the plaintiff made their case I thought the plaintiff would win easily.
Both times, after hearing both sides, I found against the plaintiff.
Just watch “My Cousin Vinny” explain the prosecution’s case using a playing card. This is what Schiff is doing. Except he’s not very good at it.

The “crime” Shift for brains wants everyone to think is a crime is asking Ukraine for assistance in an investigation.
There is an existing treaty with Ukraine that SPECIFICLY allows either country to ask for assistance. IOW, by law, what the President did was LEGAL.
So their first “2” is actually a zero
The second “2” is based on obstruction when no crime was committed. That is also not possible and is therefore also a zero.

I have scoured the law and there there is no law that makes “abuse of power” a crime.

There could not be a lower bar than “abuse of power.” obozo did it a dozen times, the easiest example being DACA.

Per Jim Jordan, Ukraine didn’t announce an investigation, they got the meeting and they got the aide. It wasn’t 2+2=4; it as 0 for 3.

That’s not what they said after the game, making very clear there was no “quid pro quo” nor election-related issue nor even awareness of a “delayed payment”.
The more Impeachment is used the less it will matter to anyone. It will be like calling someone a racist. When everyone is a racist, no one is a racist.
