not sure if there is a phrase to go with image already but i’d say “hear nothing, see nothing, make stuff up and keep braying it.”
The one I used is from Mad Magazine, and the monkeys were Alfred E. Neuman, last frame he’s shouting something and amplifying it with his hands.
