Flynn asks for sentence of probation, community service

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn told a federal judge on Wednesday that he should be sentenced at a maximum to probation and community service over charges that he lied to the FBI.

In a court filing Wednesday, Flynn’s attorneys repeatedly cited their client’s past military service and volunteer work as evidence that he does not deserve to serve time behind bars.

“While the defendants in other cases cited by the government were working to benefit themselves, Mr. Flynn wrote a blank check on his life and put himself in harm’s way for more than five years in foreign deployments and thirty-three years of service to protect all Americans,” they wrote. “Mr. Flynn should receive a sentence, if any, of probation and community service.”

The filing comes after Flynn moved to withdraw his guilty plea last week under an agreement he had made with Robert Mueller during the former special counsel's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race.

the federal is on Trial by this.

if ultracorrupt “Judge” Sullivan does ANYTHING to Mr. Flynn
while ignoring the known-corrupt/lying prosecution,
then the Rubicon will have been crossed.

President Trump should issue a Full Pardon for General Flynn. And be done with this injustice.

I will never understand how in a supposedly free country you are not allowed to lie to the FBI, however they can lie to you with impunity without consequence.

How do you withdraw your plea while at same time ask for leniency?

The AG is apparently not in control of all the Mueller/SC legacy corrupt/lying prosecutions.

If Flynn goes to prison, then the entire democrat impeachment team should join him as well as every Mueller witness.

Well I guess Hannity was wrong on this one. He indicated Flynn’s new attorney, Sydney Powell, would blow the lid off the false prosecution of Flynn. We were led to believe he was withdrawing his plea due to the law breaking of the FBI>

Tragic that General Flynn is still being persecuted by the Asst US Attorney, who works for the Dept of Justice.

Someone remind me......my memory is a little cloudy......what is the name again of the Attorney General of the United States who runs the DOJ?

Yup. And Hannity predicted a lot more that hasn’t come true. What does that tell us?

I want to know why any conversation and interrogation done by the FBI to a citizen is not recorded? Nor is the citizen allowed to take notes or record them. Only evidence in said conversation is the 302 report Agent/Agents file.

Police are required to record any time their interrogate a person who is a suspect or has been arrested.

President should do an EO changing that process for the FBI.

I hope the judge completely tosses the case, but probation would be another alternative.
