and getting a lot of new voters out of the equation , not that he needs them

I am wondering if calling any relevant witness under the sun might be a good strategy? Let the trial go on a couple of years. The American people have such a short attention span, and would certainly tune it all out.

They will not testify voluntarily. They will demand to be subpoenaed so that since they are “compelled” to testify, they can invoke the fifth.
They won’t answer the questions Republicans want them to. They will invoke the “FIFTH”on those questions and give dissertations to the questions asked by Democrats.

And I’ll be astonished if the Republicans agree to ANY witnesses that the Democrats want.
Let the Democrats call the same number of witnesses that they allowed Trump to call in the House impeachment investigation.
