Remember the No Nukes concerts from the 80's? They were the brainchild of Jackson Browne and Orleans lead singer and pmr Cong (NY11) John Hall. They were done to "raise awareness" of the dangers of nuclear proliferation, particularly under the eeevil Reagan regime. U2, The Talking Heads, Sting, Pat Benetar, an up and coming Madonna and anyone who was someone performed at those venues.
Now that the madmen in Iran have nukes of their own maybe it's time to resurrect these concerts to warn a new generation of the clear and present danger of a nuclear holocaust. (((((crickets))))

I went to one of those “No Nukes” concerts at LA Hollywood Bowl and still have my “No Nukes” hat. This was back when I was a student/liberal and I liked Jackson Browne’s great music.
Was a lot of fun. But I don’t remember so much the focus being against nuclear proliferation as it was about being anti-nuclear energy.
Since then my values have certainly changed.
You’re so right about the need for concerts like that. The Greta Thurnbergs should really be focused on the more likely threat to humanity and civilization is Islam and nuclear proliferation - not Gorebull Warming.
