What Would Reagan Think? He’d hope that the party he led could be restored to the principles and policies that drew him to it.

As a Reagan Republican, I am an unlikely and probably unwelcome source of ideas about how a Democrat can win the presidency in 2020.

But precisely because I am a Reagan Republican, I do not support Donald Trump and do not wish to see him elected to a second term. I worked for President Reagan for many years: initially in his 1980 campaign, then in the White House, and finally in his post-presidency office in Los Angeles. I knew him well. And I am absolutely certain he would be appalled by how Donald Trump conducts himself in the presidency.

IIRC, Reagan’s first commandment was never speak ill of another Republican. Trump might not be following RR’s advice, but the clown who wrote this isn’t either.

Sounds like he’s forgotten Reagan’s 11th Commandment.

Reagan was a fighter.

Trump is a fighter.

Therefore, I suspect that Reagan would’ve heartily approved of Trump’s performance and style as President.

Political decorum today is much different than in Reagan’s time.

Trump wasn’t the one who made it that way, but he’s adapted to it, and is effective.

So you would put your personal feelings about our President ahead of what he has done for this country and let the Socialists that President Regan was fully against get reelected. What a jerk!

Their styles are vastly different but the end results are the same or better with Trump. I think even Reagan would have crumbled in today’s political climate.

Reagan kept some country club RINO advisors around for good reason. If he was unsure which way to go on an issue he’d ask their advice....then do the opposite.

But would he be appalled at what Trump has achieved for America and the American people? Because of Reagan love for America I say Nay!

Reagan would no doubt be troubled by congressional Republicans’ mindless fealty to Trump

Dear Mark that is preposterous. P. Ryano and the GOPE. threw the '16 election and stood in the way of Trump and his agenda. So what is you planet of record? Certainly it's not earth.

Country clubbers despised Reagan, only when they saw that the American people loved him, they climbed onto the bandwagon.

The day Georgie I entered the White House, it was right back to “Business as Usual”

As a Reagan Republican, I was not an early supporter of Candidate Trump. I didn’t trust the ex-democrat to actually govern as the candidate he pretended to be, and I didn’t particularly like him as a person. I was wrong - very wrong.

As a Reagan Republican, I absolutely love President Trump. Like so many figures in scripture, he is an imperfect man who is still doing God’s work. I thank God every day that he sent the man we need in these dangerous times.

I would like to see a balanced budget, but not at the cost of allowing the psychotic globalists to seize power in the November election. I would like to see the military seal our southern border and about 3 million more deportations per year, but again not at the cost of keeping control over the Senate until deportations can ramp up after the election. I would love to see Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, and many other traitors receive life sentences for treason, sedition, mishandling classified material, and other crimes that have been proven against those vile people, but once more not at the risk of losing an election and triggering our second Civil War.

So far, President Trump has been the best person imaginable for the job in these dangerous times. Thank God!

Reagan is probably giggling in his grave over Trump’s remarks.

“Reagan’s party” going back to the principles and policies that drew him to it are nil — there’s no money in that. And today’s politicians are in politics for the $$$$$.

The writer is just a sour Never Trumper.
