Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri joined with a host of fellow Republicans Monday to introduce a resolution allowing the chamber to dismiss articles of impeachment against President Trump for lack of prosecution, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi delays sending the case for trial. The resolution specifically would update Senate rules to allow the chamber to bring a motion dismissing the articles.

Look they may as well do this and dismiss them.

Pelosi and others said they will just bring them again.

May as well have a method in place for dealing with their delay stall tactics.

She will get a leftist district judge to rule “Speaker Pelosi is hereby granted the additional days required to beautify herself before entering with the articles to present them to the Senate.”

This’ll go on and on and on all thru Trump’s 2nd term, impeachment session after impeachment session after impeachment session after impeachment session. It’ll never end.

Hasn’t Pelosi delivered it to the Senate? She publicly announced the impeachment vote and she released the document to the press and therefore the public.
Doesn’t that make it the Senate’s turn?

The language needs to be specific as to dismissing and voiding the CURRENT articles of impeachment based on the stupid phone call. Make them do it all over again on something else if they want to do it again.

If the Turtle moves to dismiss the Democrat turd articles of impeachment, where’s their leverage?

They better hurry up with prosecuting their case. Use it or lose it.

I have to agree with you. I don’t believe the Dems could help themselves, even if one of them happened to think of it.

Sure, but only if the rats keep the house. Which is doubtful.

If they’re not confident of their case, they shouldn’t have impeached Trump in the first place.

Its not a sign of strength House Democrats can’t name their managers and report to the Senate, ready to proceed to trial.

Just the opposite.

But is there 51 votes? Bolton did his best to scuttle this today. He as much as volunteered to testify and of course right on cue Mitt jumped in front of camera and said “I’d like to hear from Jon”.

Do you think they are going to give up those seats in CA that they flipped in 18 with vote harvesting fraud? Nope. We aren’t getting those back. Not as it stands now at any rate.

The GOP could certainly respond in kind.

Impeachment after impeachment after impeachment, followed by dismissal, after dismissal, after dismissal...

Until this whole Democrat impeachment fraud is exposed as just that.

President Trump was interviewed by Rush today. He said that the RATS are trying to illegally influence the election. Makes perfect sense to me.

They need 67 votes to change the Senate rules to allow this..so not going to happen. This is simply posturing by some Senators

I’m sure there are. Delecto’s opinion is irrelevant particularly when House Democrats don’t want a trial in the first place.

Cripes no one has that kind of time!

She’ll send them over because if not Trump will campaign on the statement that he really wasn’t impeached and the Dems can’t allow that.

Summary dismissal of the charges may be the best Nmncy can hope for.
So why give her what she wants?

Do the actual articles have to be transmitted as paperwork?

Every time the Donks fluff up an impeachment, the GOP should stop everything in the Senate and hold a 15 minut trial.

Then go back to work.
